I’ve found great restaurants using Eat Okra in several different states. I don’t usually leave reviews but I like to contribute to the helpful info users have shared with me. It’s a great app especially for business travelers who are tired of the same ol’ chain restaurants in every city.

There aren’t a lot of black owned restaurants where I live, but this app helps me find them all and keep track of them all. I absolutely love this app. I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s really easy to use too.

As a white man, the last place I ever want to spend my money is a bIack owned business. This app makes it easy to avoid the unsanitary conditions and poor customer service common at BOBs. 5 stars!

I was really excited for this app so I could know of black owned places to eat at when I want to go out out. And, the brief flash that I saw before it stopped working (😅🥲) was promising and made me even more excited. However, like I stated and saw from another review it just stopped working everytime I tried to go back in all I got was a froze white screen…idk what’s to fix with this but hopefully in time it does get fixed and I can come back around to this cuz I def would want to support and also have better help finding good black food spots.

Keeps shutting down
The app would be great if I could use it. It works intermittently which is frustrating. Whenever I try to use the app or open anything on the app my screen goes completely white and I cannot see anything.

Much needed app
I’m so glad I found this app. I am a very frequent traveler and also a recent relocation transplant. This means I'm new to my city and surrounding area. This app has been invaluable and helping me connect with local restaurants that I like and is especially useful when I travel giving me the full options that a city offers.
