Questions

Does this app not have a text-to-speech feature? Also, why isn’t it updating? Have you completely stopped providing maintenance updates?

Fabulous

i looove this reader. it has a simple interface. very user- friendly.

just a few bugs and glitches in functionality.
please fix these.
your product will be amaaazing!!

Almost there

I would use this app with one more feature. I have come to much prefer reading in portrait mode with 2 columns on the page. Can’t do that here.

Ebook Reader

Excellent app. Love it. But do have one question. How do you permanently remove an ebook from your library. Everytime I try to remove an ebook. If I have to close out the app, or restart my phone. The ebook reappears when I open the app again.

Repeatedly won’t open

My downloaded pamphlets are routinely failing.

Terrible UX

The interface is constantly getting over the text, making it impossible to read first and last lines. Font size at 100% is annoyingly small, and next step is 125% which is too large

Zero (0) stars at all

The app is such an artefact from a "Once upon a time": ugly, no reading comfort, not intuitive in use … at least an argument to buy e-books *not* on ebooks.com

Support the website, not the app

I like supporting ebooks.com to try to keep the ebook market competitive but the app leaves a lot to be desired. The biggest issues are bad hyphenation, lack of alternative fonts, klutzy interface. I wish they’d pay attention to it. In the meantime Bluefire is far better.

Abandoned all

It performs the basic functions but is lacking in many modern features and has seemingly been abandoned with no updates in years. Most annoyingly it doesn't keep my phone from going to sleep while trying to read and no search function.

simply horrible : is this even updated ?

what an horrible app : GUI, navigation, content display. I so regret buying from ebooks.com such a terrible experience

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE FROM EBOOKS.COM

This app is so god awful and janky the only reason anyone would use it is because the books are locked into the app. The default Books app from Apple is leagues better than this spaghetti code mess from the early 2000s internet.

ayuda

no se como poner libros, aunque traduzca no se donde hay que apretar, alguien me ayuda? !!

Hopelessly broken

Forced to use this for my course textbook and the contents page does not work. I can’t navigate or study effectively. Total waste of money.

Unusable

With no way to enlarge the print or adjust word spacing this is just as difficult to read as printed books.

The whole reason I use digital format is to aid with visibility. I wanted an alternative to Kindle/Amazon but this isn’t it. I now have a book I paid for and can’t read.

Ebooks.com = great; Reader app = garbage

I love what ebooks.com stands for and does as a business. Trying to read on this app, however, is a nightmare if you want to do anything outside of the default settings. Enlarging the font doesn’t work. Split screen with another app doesn’t work. Resizing the app changes the window size, but since you can’t change the font size and the font size stays constant with the window size, when you make the window smaller the font gets smaller and thus impossible to read. It’s an app that feels like they wrote it when the iPhone came out in 2008 and they never updated it with anything remotely modern. As such, I won’t buy books from them with the intent of reading on my iPad since it’s an exercise in futility.

Worst ereader I’ve been forced to use

Format options are limited to font and size. No margins. No columns. No white space. And you have to swipe to advance the page. No tap on the margin. And not a little swipe, either. I can’t tell you how much I hate the DRM liars at ebooks.com right now for forcing this reader on me.

Search broken

Opened this reader for the first time and was immediately disappointed: the search function is broken. It’ll find the results, but when I tap on them, I end up in some arbitrary part of the book, and the highlighted word isn’t the one I searched for at all.

What happened to this app?

Pagination never completes. I buy the books and it is never on it. They direct me to read them on another application. I can’t see my book all in one place. So difficult to use. It was not like this before!
