Just what we needed!

eButterfly has exceeded all my expectations! The AI-powered butterfly identification is spot-on, and the app is incredibly intuitive to use. But what really sets it apart is their checklist approach, which ensures that every one of my observations contributes directly to conservation efforts—something I can’t say about other platforms like iNat. Huge kudos to the eButterfly team! I can’t wait to see this app soar with more users and even more exciting features in the future!

I don’t think I can even give this one star, I’m so disappointed. First, there should be options to choose specific regions. I’m in New England, I have to type in almost complete common names to add something to my checklist because scientific names come first and my first page of options are species that are never in this area. And why wouldn’t you give the search options common or scientific names? Am I supposed to find the butterfly in my field guide to find the scientific name so then I can type that into the search? And once I submit, I can’t go back and edit or add photos? I’m not saying that you should copy eBird, but you might want to peruse it and see how it should be done.

Limited control of data

No way to delete or to adjust location!

Hi sweetfern2018, Thanks for your review, and I'm sorry you had trouble adjusting or deleting a location. There are multiple ways to edit your location within the app, depending on where you are in the submission process. To change your location, tap on the green Map Pin icon, which will open an interactive map. To delete a location after submitting a checklist, go to "Checklists" in the bottom menu and swipe right on the checklist you want to delete. You can also edit and change your location, along with any other attributes of your observations, through our web portal at www.e-butterfly.org I hope this helps! AMAZING APP

This app is super easy to use and it’s great at identifying the butterflies you come across. Having access to an app like this makes keeping track of a checklist way easier.
