Please bring back the audio only feature when choosing quality 🙏🏼

The update looks nice and is functionally better without having to re-login each time. Being able to listen to recordings from lectures as audio files only was invaluable though as a student for a uni that uses this application. I listened to lectures on commutes working full time etc; not being able to play videos without having the app open completely defeats the purpose of the phone app for me as I can’t use navigation or lock the screen anymore.

Bring back downloads!

This new update - so modern! So neat! Also messed up the ability to download videos and listen to them with your screen off. I like to take my notes and go for a walk with my lecture like a podcast, but this ruins the whole routine. Please change it back. PLEASE.

Update broke the whole thing

I really liked using this app for my university lectures, but the recent updates removed the ability to download content for offline viewing, which means I now can’t watch lectures on my two hour commute through an area without mobile service. Please add back the function to download content, as well as add back the ‘skip 10 seconds button’ and the 1.5x speed modifier, as both of these features are missing.

Bruh

Where is the 1.5x speed?

Much improved

Significant improvement from the old version, would like to see background audio working but this is such a nicer experience.

Good but frequently crashes

Simple and easy to understand UI, but often crashes when I’m casting to my smart tv

Abandonware

Looks the developers have abandoned this app entirely. Which wouldn’t be the end of the world of their web player worked properly on mobile devices, which it does not. Possibly the only browser video player today that does not fullscreen a video. There is also no launch link between mobile browser and this app which is quite ridiculous.

Dislike!

Very frustrating app, regularly crashes when skipping forwards/backwards, losing your place in the video. Seems to require re-authentication whenever I go to use it. Video player interface is clunky and slow to respond. Would recommend avoiding this app if possible 👎🏽

This app

Is this really the best you can do? All the devs that were a part of this app development absolutely failed. This app barely works. Not sure who is in charge as far as development and budgeting but you absolutely missed the mark. For an app that’s supposed to help students, this is by far the most basic and yet is done poorly. Do you even read the reviews? It’s terrible. If I was a lead for an app or the company behind it, I would be ashamed to attach my name to this app. Hugely disappointing. Needs an overhaul. Also, posting copy and paste responses are of no help. Really shows how much care is placed on consumers… which is none.

Issues list: Always logs you out for no reason / video quality is in 360p / audio quality is 2005 / app itself is extremely glitchy and consistently crashes / and many more.

Won’t stay logged in

The app will not stay logged in, and it does not take echo360 login. Only LMS login which is tied to two factor auto so every time I want to watch a new video I have to go through the whole process. It also does not work with any password manager like the one built into the iPhone so I have to manually fill out my password every time then 2FA and hope that does not close the app and restart the whole process like it sometimes does then I get maybe an hour and have to do it all over again

Transcript

Very useful for watching lectures on a mobile device however a transcript option doesn’t appear to be available (this option is available when I watch the same lecture on a pc) ?

Video resets if you switch cameras

Works if you only are looking at screen, if there’s a slideshow and a whiteboard to watch you can’t. The video only lets you watch one at once and if you try to switch to the other the video resets to the beginning.

Good app except for this major bug

Format is terrible.

Format not user friendly. Please update this app.

Great Offline Access, but Needs Improved Sorting Features

Just the fact that I can have all my lectures offline (if I download them) together is already good.
However, I still hope that some of the features available on the website can be added as well, like the sort function.
Currently, the lectures can only be sorted alphabetically; however, my class lectures aren’t sorted alphabetically in our syllabus.
I really hope this can be fixed.

Frustrating to use

Have to go through a lengthy sign-in process every time the app is opened. Ticking “remember me” does not appear to do anything. Also app defaults to the wrong semester - a minor flaw, but there is no way to change preferences in-app to fix this, and it becomes really annoying over time. App also randomly crashes from time to time.

You’re kidding, right?

What’s the point of downloading videos for offline use if they can’t be played when you’re OFFLINE?

Videos

The update is terrible - please fix it. The videos keep pausing and it’s really difficult to watch anything.

Needs major improvements/revamp

The app is convenient for students, but has no organization what so ever, no way to easily manage your downloads. The app needs to be updated to match current generation of apps and design to make it more user friendly. ASLO ADD A SEARCH FEATURE!!!

If you want to spend more time logging on than listening to content: This app is for you

- as the title, too much time spent logging in
- downloads buggy and may crash app
- downloaded content may not play offline
- too much time 'fighting' the app to play the content

Better off downloading the content elsewhere and adding it to a dedicated media player.

Have to log in every single day

I used to not mind the app, however the fact that I had to log in once every few days was annoying. I now have to log in every single day (if not multiple times a day) that I open the app- and it’s very annoying (especially since university log ins are multi-step processes).
