About

Echoroll is a film camera that records sound. When you take a photo, it also saves the 3 seconds of sound around it. You can't see your photos right away. You shoot a whole roll without a preview, send it off to develop, and get it back the next day. (Your first roll only takes 10 minutes.) When you open a developed roll, each photo plays the sound of the moment it was taken. It's not a video. It's a photo you can hear. Some details: - The shutter is silent, so it never ends up in the recording. - There are four films: a warm everyday film, black and white, a cinema film, and a limited summer film that's only sold until September 30. - Unedited originals are always kept for free. You can save them to your photo library anytime. - No account, no cloud. Your photos and sounds stay on your phone. The app collects anonymous usage stats and nothing else. - The camera, developing, and album are all free. Black and white and the cinema film are one-time purchases you keep forever; the limited summer film buys a single roll. No subscription, no ads.

Clearer pricing, so there are no surprises. - Black & white and cine films are a one-time purchase — yours to keep for every roll. The loading screen now says so. - The limited film is now labeled as a single-use roll, right next to its price. - Fixed the loading screen's intro text getting cut off in some languages.
