App update can’t connect battery
Everything was working fine until an app update now it won’t connect to battery or solar charger. I am not sure how charged my battery is currently. Customer support is slow at best. Tried everything on the web to no avail
Needs major work
The app only works looking at the batteries for less than a day on Wi-Fi. No way to direct wire to a router. Firmware updates are not helping other than making the app look fancy. Need to fix this issue for people who needs to see the state of charge from their cell phone while not at the battery location

This new upgrade does not work, frustrating that when the old version worked. Forced new password but the password reset does not work. I want my money back for the batteries I was supposed to monitor on my phone. Junk!

Batteries vulnerable to unauthorized access via Bluetooth using the app, plus other issues
Since there are no authorization/security challenges to connect to the battery, anyone in range can access it with the app. There are hidden settings in the app that can be used to leave a person without power when they need it most (medical devices, fridge/freezer, security cameras or other security devices, etc.) and the settings are very easy to access and, depending on system configuration and how it’s used, the battery may be tampered with unbeknownst to the operator until there’s a potential cascade of problems, like if the charge function is disabled and a person isn’t aware, they might run their battery all the way down and, say, not be able to use a CPAP machine at night.
These settings need to be made accessible to all users without needing to use the hidden path.
There needs to be some level of security implement at the BMS level and integrated into the app.
I don’t know what all batteries are affected, but the 12v 314Ah I purchased in June 2026 are vulnerable. And, there is no way to just turn Bluetooth off as a stopgap until the vulnerability is fixed.
There are other issues with the app and there are many improvements I would like to see implemented, but I want EW to focus on resolving the complete lack of security first.
