Meet Eddie, a private AI assistant for iPhone and iPad. Chat, translate text, understand images, and explore your own documents using AI models that run directly on your device. Your prompts and content are not sent to a cloud AI service. PRIVATE CHAT Ask questions, develop ideas, write, summarize, and save useful conversations, all powered by your selected local model. YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE Create personal knowledge bases from notes, PDFs, text files, Markdown, JSON, CSV, XML, YAML, and webpages. Build a local search index, connect a knowledge base to a chat, and ask questions using the information you added. PHOTO UNDERSTANDING Choose a compatible vision model, add a photo, and ask Eddie to describe, explain, or examine its contents. TEXT & PHOTO TRANSLATION Type or paste text, or select photos containing text. Translate the extracted text using your selected local model and play the translated result aloud. CHOOSE YOUR MODEL Explore models compatible with your device and compare their download size, capabilities, and device requirements. Download only the models you want and remove them whenever you need to free storage. MAKE EDDIE YOURS Create reusable Skills and assistant Profiles for writing, research, study, work, and other recurring tasks. Organize related work with Projects and create reusable local workflows with Automations. LOCAL BY DESIGN • AI inference runs on your device • No account is required • Chats and workspace content are stored locally • No advertising or tracking • Downloaded models can be removed at any time • Export and restore your local workspace • No cloud AI provider receives your conversations After the required models have been downloaded, chat, translation, image processing, and knowledge search can operate without an internet connection. Internet access is required to download or verify models and when you explicitly import a webpage. Model availability, performance, and supported capabilities depend on your device, selected model, language, available memory, and storage.
