About
Whether you are a supplier, trading partner, or wholesaler, you can quickly install the EDI app to facilitate the smooth exchange of your invoices with external businesses. Once successfully installed, you can quickly scan and convert printed copies of your invoicing data or billing receipts into digitised formats (PDF) and send them to Verinvo, a powerful eInvoicing software used by businesses to store and manage tax-compliant and PEPPOL-standardized professional invoices. Using the EDI app for your business ensures that your invoicing documents are securely and automatically transmitted between parties, reducing the need for handwritten data and minimising human mistakes.
Using the EDI app for scanning your invoices, typically involves integrating document scanning and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capabilities to automate capturing, validating, and transmitting your invoice data to the Verinvo eInvoicing software. OCR is a technology that extracts relevant data from scanned invoices and converts them into machine-readable format. This means automatically recognising and transforming the critical invoice data fields, such as invoice number, date of issue, list of items, amounts, tax value, etc, from its raw paper-based form into the standardised format required by the trading partner. Additionally, the app ensures that the data is correctly formatted and meets the necessary invoicing standards for conducting business.
Once you successfully scan and send the documents from the EDI app, the electronic invoice is stored in Verinvo under the Incoming Invoices section. Now the business owner or company will manually verify and approve each incoming invoice for payment and compare the original, paper-printed invoice with the converted eInvoice for the changes. This process ensures your document is tax-ready, helping you avoid potential legal issues and saving money by reducing the risk of non-compliance.
