Low sugar
Fast and easy app to see how much sugar is in different foods
Easy and helpful
Very easy to use. Great info. Also helpful for my diabetic father.
Where’s my data
I used this app specifically to log weight and calorie intake. With the new update, that’s not an option. There’s nothing on the update that you can’t just google yourself.
All my data lost!
With the new update I lost all my custom foods and weight history. I can google nutritional info, but I can’t recover what I lost. Very disappointed!
Lost all my data
I tracked my weight for years in this app. With the update that said just “text updates” I lost all my data and custom foods. I contacted the app for help, but they never returned my request.
Handy nutrition information
Very easy to use. Always good to check before purchasing the food.
Lost data
Where's my data from the last decade? I stuck with this app thru its problems & now I have to start over???
Good app
Simple to use has everything I search for. Can’t get much more basic.
All the value gone
I have to concur with Amy Grant Fan. This isn’t the same app it used to be. I had it for counting carb choices and tracking weight history. Now this app is useless to me.
Where did the customized options go??
Oh my gosh, I am sick. I have used this app for a decade and always enjoyed the customized options it offered. I had my foods entered in, with all of their nutritional info and everything. I used the app to track Weight Watchers points and had my daily number, including my weekly bonus points, all calculated to work automatically. Now, with this latest update, it’s all gone!! Now this app is just another run-of-the-mill, generic food database. So disappointing... :(

Love it
So easy to use, so quick, and such motivation to keep you on track. Most foods I eat I know the calorie info for so I type it in once and I'm done. If there is an unlabeled food such as a banana or an exercise all u have to do is google it and there u have it. I love not having to bust out the calculator and tediously write everything out. I use my own abbreviations for longer words just to save time. The weight calculator is motivating bc after u type in your weight for the day it will automatically calculate and show how much u have lost to date and how many more pounds till your goal. No calculator. So easy. I don't use it for weight watchers just for calorie counting and holding myself accountable! Great app!

Tired of paying for WW?
This app is perfect if you've been using the Weight Watcher's app and are tired of paying for it. I've been doing WW for 7 months and have lost 40 lbs so I feel like I understand how to eat at this point and was tired of paying $17 a month. This is the only tracking app i've found that will allow you to customize for calculating Points Plus and keeps track of your weekly points too. I just copied all the foods i eat all the time from my WW database and entered them in here. Anything else I want to add I just calculate the points based on the nutritional info I find online and add it to the database. It also keeps track of your weight & exercise, just like the WW app. This app is well worth the purchase price to save those monthly payments! Perfect!

Great customer service
I upgraded to an iPhone 4. Edibles stopped working, I couldn't figure out why, and I didn't notice that the "update all" button was telling me that it needed an update (head desk at myself). I emailed customer support, and within two hours, I had an answer back, telling me that what I was describing would almost certainly be fixed by updating....Dh had already pointed out to me the update stuff, so I was in the process of doing so when I noticed the Cust Support email telling me the same thing.
A personal reply, at 8:-00 in the evening is pretty good service, I think ;-) Especially for something that was a result of my own stupidity ;-)

Poor Quality Software, save your money
Where to begin? For starters, the "food database" is a fraud. You have to enter each food item and the calories. The Exercise log? Another joke as the user has to figure out the amount calories burned, which is not something most people can do. The whole POS runs soooo slowly that I can do other things while waiting to move from 1 screen to another. To top it all off, the developer asks for all kinds of information, most of which is duplicated anyway. Very poor customer service, and the developer needs to learn English in a hurry. The web synchronization? Another joke, as you press the button and poof! Nothing happens. Find something else and don't bother with this garbage.

Exactly what I was looking for
It's like you anticipated everything I'd hoped for, personally, in a dieting journal.
And thanks for having the foresight to make a foods database an option instead of designing it into the app. (Don't know how folks expect you to include one that's relevant to their needs when the beauty of Edibles is that you set up your own formula to track Weight W-- er, whatever arcane variables you want.)
It would still be nice for the foods you enter to remember/display the values used in the calculation, but that's a fine point, in my case. Can I give it six stars?

Lost 41 pounds so far
I have been on WW before and lost the weight, then put it back on. The single most useful behavioral advice from WW is journaling. But what person, especially a tech savvy guy like me, wants to pull out a WW journal book, pencil, and slide rule in a restaurant? Not me. Enter Edibles.
I started logging WW points with Edibles last Thanksgiving, and have gone from 227 pounds to 186 on my way to goal of 165. Saved hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours compared to WW meetings. You can use this formula to get the built in calculator to give you WW points for any food based on the nutrition label: (<Calories>/50)+(<FatGrams>/12)-(<FiberGramsMax4>/5)

Very useful food journal
This is a great food journal. Once you have all your foods put in, it is so easy to go back and plug it right in to your day. It takes 2 seconds, and makes me accountable for what I'm putting in my body. A couple improvements I would like to see in the next update would be: 1. To rearrange the foods you already logged in order. I log the foods in the AM of what I'm going to eat for the day, but if I change it around, it would be nice to have it in order.
2. An option for logging when you ate it - morning, afternoon, evening would be easy, or an option to put in the time it was eaten.
3. To put food in your journal a day in advance. I plan my lunch and snacks for the next day, and it would be helpful to log those as I'm packing it up the night before.
Thanks for a great app that's on my home screen and is used more than any other app!

extremely useful
This is one of the first apps I downloaded when the the app store debuted. It's one of the essentials that allows me to ignore my old PDA. This app is simple to use. Having the new online option is very handy for foods that I don't yet have nutritional info for. It was easy to customize the app for point calculation. The developers respond immediately to issues, and the app keeps getting better.

GREAT APPLICATION!!!!!
This is my 3rd time posting a review of this application. I have been using it for quite awhile and I still find it to be a great app for recording what I eat each day. This app is continually updated and so far every update has made it even better.
-------------------------------------------
I love Edibles. It is especially great for me because I am on Weight Watchers and this app is perfect for keeping a log of what I eat, the points totals, and my weight record. "DrJim's" review states most people would rather scroll through food lists then enter data on food. I think he is wrong. For me personally I don't mind entering the food I eat -- I only need to enter each different food one time, and then it becomes a part of my personal list of food choices, not a never ending list that is made up of mostly foods I'll never eat. My list contains ONLY the foods that I eat. This app is also very easy to use. I love it! (Thanks for making the changes I requested in my previous review.)

Good app, needs a few additions
This seems to be a pretty good app so far. I really like that there is no food database because I like to add my own and it's really easy with this.
I wish that the log had the option to add the time that you ate each food/meal. Also, I'm doing LA Weight Loss and it doesn't completely work with this program. I'd like to be able to input how many fruits, veg, starches, proteins... I need each day and have it count down from there. I don't personally need total points or units for the day or week. Also, the addition of weight tracking & graphing would be wonderful!! With these additions, this would be a 5+ star app.
