No way to name each speaker…so owning two of the same model is confusing.

Not working
App not working. Turned the speaker into a brick. It constantly asking to add device and after going through steps the device does not appear and the app is asking again to add the device.

new update has app crashing
this app isn’t great to begin with but it’s needed to connect and control speakers beyond what your control buttons can do… suddenly the app is crashing so i can’t even hook up my speakers to the new wifi network after a move. i can only control the speakers through bluetooth via my phone since that was hooked up initially. i don’t understand why my speakers aren’t included in the version on the better edifier connect app — only three speaker series are listed there.

this app isn’t great to begin with but it’s needed to connect and control speakers beyond what your control buttons can do… suddenly the app is crashing so i can’t even hook up my speakers to new networks etc after a move. annoying!

Tried to use app to connect to a set of S1000W bookshelf speakers. The "Setup" image shows how to set up MS50A speakers, not how to set up the S1000Ws. I stumbled my way through set up, however, and was able to connect the speakers to the WiFi network, so I could use AirPlay to play music. But they don't show up in the Edifier app as connected, so I can't update firmware or make any changes to the settings.
Tried 10 or more times, even tried deleting and reinstalling the app; continues to fail in exactly the same way.
Edit: received an email from Edifier support two days later saying the app had been fixed and to delete & reinstall. Did that, and it's now working properly.

Constant annoying dialogs
Every time I open the app it pops up 3 modal dialogs asking for Bluetooth, location, etc. It shouldn’t ask every time, and it doesn’t need any of that to control WiFi speakers.

Home app upgraded today and deleted the previous configuration

Very tricky to get to connect. After trying and failing to connect with a second device, i had forget the device and re-add it in bluetooth to get to work. Just a nightmare reality that an app like this is necessary for the speaker to function.

As subject. Please have a look at the Sonos app, add the bass and treble control and local music library like Apple Music library in my iMac. Will rate it 5stars once you got this updated on your next update. Thank you
Too limited
It seems that this app only works with the S1000W speakers. Lack of instruction and information. Wish I never bought Edifyer speakers. Great sound miserable support.
