New Sun Format
One would think that a media company would make a change for the better when changing their format. The Sun’s new format, in my option, is poor at best with headlines up to a year old. What’s up?

Good Example of why The Sun is dying
This app is even worse than their website. Freezes or crashes EVERY TIME. Go to Life section (as a subscriber) and can only read “Ask Amy” from 5 months ago. How about today’s stories?! Cancelling subscription for the third and last time.
Deserves less than zero rating
What a piece of garbage. The app used to be great over a year ago. Now it locks up constantly & won’t allow you to scroll through an article if you can actually get to an article. Not sure why it’s offered as a free app anymore, they obviously want you to pay for the e paper.
Poor performance
If you open an article (if it opens), then you have to leave the app and reopen it before you can load another article. Tends to lock up your phone entirely?

Articles don’t load, feezes phone solid. Still get notifications even when turning them off. Blank screen all the time.

When you open an article, you are momentarily taken to a page, but then another page loads, sometimes it’s the same page, sometimes it’s a blank page.
For a free app, it would be annoying, but for an app with a monthly fee, it’s a money waster.

loads pages twice and locks up
Not useable as is. Simply can’t get most pages to open. So many glitches I just gave up.
Freezes in iPads
Used this for years no problem. But in the last month it freezes up on all three of my iPads. It still works on my iPhone. Not recommended until this glitch is fixed. I cancelled my subscription in the meantime.
Phone restarts when reading Edmonton Sun App
There is still a gliche. Reading an article and suddenly the phone kicks out of app and restarts phone.
Doesn’t load
The recent update 6.0 does not upload the articles. The app lags and then freezes up.

Your app is crashing phones
Since your last update you can not open a story to read it. It goes to a white screen and if you leave it open more than a second or two your phone crashes and shuts down.
Bloody awful
App crashes half the time after last update, when it doesn’t it lags. The other half of the time when it doesn’t crash, you’ll tap on a story and the page comes up blank.
Articles dont show, the app crashes. Ever since latest update.
