Too quick in important areas

This app needs an update so that the name of the student you’re submitting on behalf of is present throughout the whole submission process. Right now, you scan their QR code (it appears SUPER quick, then disappears). If you have multiple QR codes near each other, it’s not always clear which one this app picked up on and because you can’t confirm until you’ve submitted, it’s just not great.

Response from developer

The Edsby Capture app will be revised soon to address this issue.

Edsby capture issues

When Edsby capture worked I used it all the time. Unfortunately it will not worker with my newer iPhone 15 pro. Disappointing

Response from developer

Capture will be updated soon to work with the iPhone 15. Stand by.

Keeps crashing

Every time I scan a student’s QR code, the app crashes. Please update, when the app is working it saves so much time!

Response from developer

There is a known issue with the Edsby Capture app for iOS not properly scanning QR codes with iPhone 15. The app will be updated soon with a fix.

Whyyyy

This is literally the most useless app I’ve ever seen

Response from developer

This app is used for one very specific thing in Edsby. If you can't use it, it's because your teacher doesn't need you to use it, and so hasn't given you the special QR code it requires.

No

I would never use this app

Response from developer

You don't need to use this app. Everything it does can be done in the main Edsby app. This app makes it easier, but you can upload pictures and video to Edsby however you want. Even with a web browser.

It’s ok for what it offers

Not the greatest but ok

Response from developer

Sounds like you're using the wrong app. Edsby Capture is intended for use by students in classrooms on shared devices like tablet computers. If you're a parent, ask your child's teacher whether you should be using the main Edsby app, not Edsby Capture.

No

It’s just bad

Update made things worse

There was a recent update and now I have to scan the QR code before each picture. Before, I would scan the QR code and I copied upload all the work. Now, I scan then take a pic and upload, scan take a pic and upload. Takes me triple the time. This update would be fine if you are uploading one single photo however, i don’t see how that happens for anyone. I’m usually uploading a min of 5-8 pictures each upload. Please change back to make it easier

Response from developer

The QR scanning change was intentional for security reasons with shared devices in a classroom, the primary way the Capture app is used. Investigating a design change to make your use case easier, tho.

Better

Thay updated the app!

Response from developer

Thanks.

Not a very good revamp

Have to scan the QR code now before EVERY picture/video. Also can’t take pictures in a horizontal orientation anymore. You guys can do better.

Response from developer

The QR scanning change was intentional for security reasons with shared devices in a classroom, the primary intended use case of the Capture app. Horizontal picture support will be fixed. It was there but apparently broke.

Not user friendly

It would be a good app if I could upload pictures from my library but as it is now I have to scan my child’s QR code then I can take a picture. I’m using it to send letters my son finds to his kindergarten teacher but is impractical unless we’re home. As if I’m going to carry around a binder with his QR code everywhere I go.

Response from developer

There might be a misunderstanding here. You should only be using the Edsby Capture app if directed by your child's teacher. It's not for uploading things from your library and was never intended to be for security reasons. It's normally supposed to be used in classrooms on shared devices. Sounds like you should be using the Edsby app, not Edsby Capture.

Terrible

I can’t see anything I’ve uploaded, and can’t see the teachers comments.... so frustrating! I have no idea if the teacher is even receiving the work!! What a waste of time.

ew

it sucks🕺❤️😜😃

Worst APP IN THE HISTORY OF APPS

Stupid app no use, garbage, the cheapest app ever made, useless,

Straight Garbage

Not user friendly at all compared to other student learning apps like Seasaw. Unfortunate that some
Employers force this app on their employees.

Our app is bad

Cannot see the uploaded photos

I uploaded several photos but can only see one?!? Very frustrating.

Glitchy

It doesn’t work and keeps crashing

Response from developer

If the Edsby app is crashing on your device, want to be part of the solution? Could you share information about what you are doing to make it crash and details of what happened? Details: https://www.edsby.com/app-white-screen-debugging/

This app sucks

I hate it. Please just use google classroom

Response from developer

Edsby is improving its mobile apps. The main Edsby user experience is via desktop or laptop web browser. Point a browser to your school or district’s Edsby server address, in the form of http://xxxx.edsby.com, where xxxx is your Edsby server address.

Capture not functional

Downloaded the app and printed the QR codes easily. Took a picture and got stuck, unable to post or anything. Disappointed.

Response from developer

That's not the behavior you should be experiencing. Sounds like you're a teacher; please contact the Edsby support team at your school or district, or email support@edsby.com with specifics.
