Awful
Useless for me. Can’t even get the sound to come on half the time.
No sound
Just downloaded the app but getting no sound. Please help!!
Reviewing the app, not the content. Requires substantial refinements
EduCBA content is also available via the site and the below comments relate to this app only. I’ve not experienced such issues via the site. Reviewed on iPad Pro 9.7” with keyboard cover and iOS 13.7.
- In-frame controls differ between portrait and landscape (full screen) modes. In Portrait you’ve 10s rewind / forward buttons, in landscape these are 15s buttons.
- Portrait mode has two sets of rewind 10s / play-pause buttons, but only one forward 10s button. Why duplicate these buttons?
- In portrait mode, the 10s rewind / forward buttons automatically restart playback. If, for example, I wish to rewind 30s (i.e. three presses of the button) I end up only around 28s rewound as the video has automatically restarted playback before I’ve selected my restart position. The Only way around this is to use the scrubbing bar to select your restart position.
- In landscape mode, there is only one set of rewind 15s / forward 15s buttons and they don’t automatically recommence playback (i.e. these actually work as expected by this user).
- switching to landscape mode means in effect switching to full screen. At the end of the current clip, the player switches back to portrait mode and automatically commences playing the next clip in the course, but the video frame is now stretched beyond the edge of the screen. There is no way to reduce the frame size, and no way to switch back to landscape mode.
- Landscape mode includes an AirPlay button thus inviting its use. I have both a 3rd gen and 4K 4th gen AppleTV available, as well as AppleTV functionality natively embedded in a recently acquired TV. None of these devices can play both the video and audio streams from this app at the same time without engaging screen mirroring (i.e. AirPlay doesn’t work properly).
- Once switched to landscape (full screen mode), if the device orientation is switched to portrait, the video frame also rotates to portrait, then immediately rotates back to landscape (with the device held on portrait).
In all, an early version and as yet unpolished release; I’d like to see a substantial improvement. It’s been nearly 9 months team - are we going to see another release any time soon?

Difficult to use
Pressing play seems so difficult on this app and then once I have done it, there is no sound on the course. So frustrating as I could be learning on the go.
No sound
