No Longer Working

This app no longer opens on mine or my wife’s phone. I hope it can be resolved. We still enjoy using the site.

One thing

Good app but I️ don’t get any notifications. Since not that many people are on it I️ wish there was a feature where you could get a notification when someone posted.

Great app

I have been using Efamily for almost 5 years. I love that I can share my sons photos privately with a small group, no other distraction in my feed, no ads, only people I invite and control.

The support team is responsive and addresses issues promptly.
Two thumbs up. 5*

Can you try again? We have updated our app recently with many bug fixes!

No

Crashes immediately after install. Dead to me.

Won't even let me sign in

Closes immediately

Broken app

I became a paying customer back when this app was called origami so that my family could stay in touch and watch my nephew grow up without spamming Facebook. Since it switched over to efamily the app has never been updated and is essentially broken. The photo/video upload doesn't work and the notifications are all wonky. I've also had issues with exporting what photos/videos we have uploaded from the website. This app and the efamily service is terrible. Don't waste your money or time.

PLEASE FIX!!

Every time I go to upload a picture/video to our site from my camera roll the app shuts down. Please fix this as I would use this feature all the time. Thank you

Crashes on iOS 8

When I try to choose a photo or video from the grid, the app crashes. The app has seen very few updates in general recently, too.

Great Idea ... needs some work

Way too slow and inconsistent! A great idea but just not reliable. Not intuitive either.

Gets the job done but no progress in a long time

It works most of the time and is ok for viewing an commenting on the go. I still don't get notifications immediately (sometimes days late) and when I do get notified of new comments or pictures, I have to manually refresh then hit the menu button to get the app to show me the new additions.

Also, I feel like development has basically stopped as no new features or basic impediments have been made in what feels like over a year.

Nice Concept > Terrible app

For such a simple application with limited functionality, this iOS application is absolutely terrible. Continuous connection errors, doesn't update, and limited iOS7 integration or design.

For a paid service I would expect a much better experience and also iPad support.

Crashing

Giving it a try with my family. App version is really need it...but it doesn't even open, crashes every time I try to open it, please fix.

Can't even get past the sign in

I can't even get past the sign in.. Good idea, but a waste of time.

Nice looking but kind of redundant

Ok first off, I was going to give it 1 star for starting the app and only getting a sign in screen with no way to sign up or a hint that I needed to do it on the site. Horrible experience.

After doing that the site is pretty nice. But everything I can do so far I can already do on Facebook with a private group for my family (where they already are). So I'm not sure what the point is. Plus, everything like uploading images is SO much easier on Facebook.

Would be great if it said something about what's unique to this app and why I should bother trying to get all my family members to sign up (not an easy task). I'll have to check back later to see how it's evolved.

Pics remain mine

Finally a private social network for families. So happy I can share moments and pics with my family and not have to worry about Facebook owning the pics!

Getting there...

Private Facebook for families is a great idea and the implementation is 80% there.

There are a few notable bugs / foibles to be ironed out before I can comfortably call this a robust service / give five stars. However, even in its current state of development, if you have a new baby and a web savvy family, this is a lovely tool.

Poor effort

Word on the street is that Origami is working on a lot of things that I brought up in beta, Granata, and I haven't seen anything implemented in the initial release. Could've done much better. This app has no value when there are others that do everything this does and more - and does it better.

Fantastic app

Beautiful website and beautiful app, this is what I've been looking for for a long time!

I deleted my Facebook account...

and am moving to Origami for the sake of privacy. Have had a blast so far! Hoping my FB addicted family starts participating. Also, would be good to be able to network families so that my in-laws and extended family don't have to use my family name's account. Word on the street is Origami is working on it:-)
