Finally Found a REAL NYC Bacon, Egg & Cheese in Texas!
As a born-and-raised New Yorker, I take my breakfast sandwiches VERY seriously. I’ve spent the last 2 years that ive been here searching for a place in Texas that could recreate that authentic NYC bodega breakfast sandwich experience, and Eggman ATX absolutely nailed it.
My first visit, I ordered the classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese, and from the first bite I was instantly transported back home. The bread, the flavor, the texture—everything tasted like the breakfast sandwiches I grew up eating in New York.
Then yesterday I tried “The Big Mess” (bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese), and wow. It was everything you could want in a breakfast sandwich: perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. In fact, it was so good that I’m already back again today ordering another one.
