HOW TO PLAY Black always moves first. Tap any intersection on the board to place a stone — turns alternate automatically. Surround your opponent's stones completely (remove all their liberties) to capture them and clear them from the board. You may not play a move that would leave your own stones with no liberties (suicide), and you may not immediately recreate the board position from before your opponent's last move (the ko rule). When neither player wishes to continue, both pass in succession, and the app totals territory plus stones on the board to determine the winner.
