Registering the birds

The notes component they would allow you to register birds as you see them doesn’t work. The app closes automatically whenever I try to use that function. I guess it needs an update. Other than that this is an excellent app

Needs bird identifier process

Unless you know the name of the bird you are looking at this app is not helpful.
There needs to be some kind of flowchart to work out the species (wing shape, plumage, colour of body parts, size, habitat, etc)
GPS could help with reducing possibilities.
But as it stands this app is useless for beginners.

Not worth the money.

Won’t recommend this app at all. Very basic, rather look at Merlin Bird ID or iBird Pro.

No pictures for finding birds

Half of bird ID is scanning the small icons to find bird close to what you’re seeing then looking individually. This app only has the names in letters with no picture until you click into the name which isn’t an app you can really use well at all for birding.

Update required

Hi please you update the app, the new updated hard copy field guide is out, can’t be that difficult to update the app, also Hires plates wouldn’t go a miss for iPad users. Thanks
