Better App!
I prefer this app over the new one. Itโs easier to use and study with. Unfortunately it is not being updated so it crashes at time. I would recommend that the creators invest more into this app!
Highlight feature are messed up
When i want to change or add to the highlight i already have, it doesn't even come up as an option. By the way, please have it easier like it used to be, to highlight text. One now has to scroll three times on a tiny, minute inset to choose highlight (if it's even there). I don't like the new egw 2 app either regarding colors where they only have 4 colors showing unless you choose another color which then bumps the other ones... just have them ALL showing for petes sake ๐

Grateful
Still better than the new version. Simple and easy to load. Like many have said, having to log in every time in the new one is not easy and annoyingly complicated. This continues to be my go to app even though the new one has so many more features. I want to spend my time reading or searching not trying to get into the app.

Easy to use
I have and use both programs, this one and number 2. I still use this one most of the time. I developed different colors for highlighting different quotes. The different colors have come to mean different things to me. So itโs a good thing to have and use. But I canโt transport it to the new program because it is incompatible with it. So I would lose the colored markings that help me to find and better understand what I am reading.
Itโs also easy to use. And it has good features that helps me to bring up and to also search for quotes Iโm trying to find. The only problem is that it doesnโt have the newer books and the letters and manuscripts that have come out.
So, when I have to, I will use the number 2 program to get these writings that are not on this program. While it is more powerful, it is harder to use. You have many more steps to go through to see what your looking for.

An excellent tool!
This app has been polished and refined to a point that it is an excellent tool that does exactly what you need it to do. No fancy animations or extra fluff. I used an earlier version of this one back around 6 years ago and loved it then as well. Since then for some time I had used the EGW writings 2 app, and though it is nice to be able to listen to the books, it is full of bugs, and I the user interface is too complicated, and gets in the way of my focus on reading. The word search in this version that Iโm reviewing is excellent, the ability to type in the reference for a book any get it instantly is great too! My plea to the developers at EGW estate is to continue to support this app, as I hope it continues to be available.

App no longer works
With the latest update from apple (iOS 15.2.1) the app no longer opens.
Not too crazy about EGW Writings 2.
The classic version is simpler, faster, and kept you focused. I have both versions. But the classic version is for me a lot simpler, and easier to use. Please donโt delete this app or add any updates to it. Thank you, and ofc, God bless.
Crash galore.!
Crashes all the time. Wonโt even open. Needs a serious update.!!!!
App not working
Second time Iโve deleted and re downloaded the app and after a few usages it keeps crashing and doesnโt want to open again. I love the app but 1 star for the crashing.
Better than the new
I also prefer this app to the new one. Simpler cleaner interface and no need to download space hogging books. Only thing I use the new one for is listening to audiobooks.
Crashing
Works perfectly fine within the app but then started recently crashing on its own. If you could please fix this! Thank you.

Signing infrequency
I really like this app but the last month or so Iโve had to sign in almost every other day to get to my current read books and bookmarks. Then I will give it 5 stars. I use to not have to do this. Please fix. Very annoying.
Way better than the new one
This app has all her writings and a kjv bible. The best part is the search funtion; you can search for any word or phrase through all her writings or the bible with one click. The study center worked amazingly. Please add support back for the study center. The new version has none of these features. Its like they released it just to sabotage this great app.

I love this app!
I tried the newer version, but I didnโt care for it. I didnโt want to download all the books when this older version has everything I need already loaded, so it is perfect for when I travel. I wish they did still support & upgrade it tho. Newer isnโt better in my book. Love this app and use it every single day.

Everything is a click away
I prefer this app over the new one. This one has all references, books, articles on it already. No need to download each reference or open to read. I use the search engine quite often and have found all that I'm looking for. The only thing I wish it had was a key for abbreviations for books, articles etc.

Please update that distasteful color scheme, please provide a plain white theme. Like iOS with the blur effects and so on.
