I have no clue who sees my post, and so few people do. Hopefully it will target the right audience in time.
Easy and Fun to use
I’m trying out EH!, Gander snd Hey Cafe! For Canadian social networks. So far I find EH! To be the easiest and fastest to use, Hey Cafe has more options and Gander is more polished. All have browser versions now too. But Gander has a character limit which makes it easier to share authentically on both EH! And Hey Cafe. I highly suggest trying them all and seeing what works best for you :)

No way to avoided phone numbers
App requires a phone number to sign up. That’s awful, I don’t want to give them that. And what if you have to move to a different area and get a new number? Then your account is lost forever. Get rid of the mandatory phone numbers.
feels like an alpha product in a beta and shipped world
I’ve been using this about a year and I deleted my account one time and deleted the app and then came back to try again but I’m feeling like it’s not really something that I would pay for the advanced features for because it feels like I’m using an alpha platform. It’s better than Loon or Hey, but I’m mostly just resharing content from other canadian socials. heavy re-shares of Meta content are annoying, so I’m not really focussing on building content on the app.

Terrible
It was announced as a clean and friendly social media platform, but it has now deteriorated into name-calling and offensive insults, and when you report those incidents to admin, you get zero response. I have deleted my account. I would advise everyone to stay away from this platform.

So nice to have an app that is not US based!
An excellent social network
It may be small, it it’s growing, it’s kind of unique featuring zero algorithms, and it’s full of friendly people who all I’ve to chat and wanted a Canadian space to call their own. Right now it’s my preferred Canadian social media hangout.
