Why require an account?

Not signing up for an account to use a little trinket - the Privacy Policy and EULA are both in Chinese only (I speak English), and ask for WAY more permission and share WAY more about me than is necessary for this app’s proposed functionality.

Really wish there was a way to use the app and therefor my device without creating an account, as there is no way to use the device without this specific app…
