Esther and the Ekhart crew are great teachers and I love their classes
Unfortunately the app used to have serious technical issues

So much content
Honestly I don’t understand how this app is way more popular than it is. It offers a wider range of programs and classes than most other popular yoga apps, and the amount of classes you get for the subscription price is almost unfair. I found Esther Ekhart on youtube over 10 years ago and still think she’s is the best online yoga instructor out there. Highly highly recommend.

Fantastic authentic yoga teachers
Thank you Esther Ekhart for bringing together this wonderful team of authentic, highly skilled & experienced team of people! Even after a back injury there are still therapy classes & meditations I can access to help me recover. I work in the NHS as a therapist and this feels such a safe, highly qualified place to practice yoga and so much more! Such a vast array of classes. Great quality yoga for anyone
I’ve been sharing a subscription with my girlfriend for just about a year, and we really love this service. I’m a beginner, whereas she’s pretty well advanced and we can both easily find instructors and classes corresponding to our desired level of difficulty and style. The production quality is top notch and you really get the sense that the instructors care about what they do. App works great too on an old iPad. Keep it up.

Download. Click sign in. Nothing happens. I’m paying a membership fee and this should be available to me.
Average and unbalanced lessons — My opinion
I can’t bring myself to give more than 3 stars. No issues with the app. Smooth operation and nice layout. It’s the teaching methods and content that bore me. I’ve tried 6 classes so far in different styles of yoga with different teachers each time. The teachers have a hard time engaging the yogi early on in the lesson and the classes were unbalanced in terms of poses/movements/stillness. Too much talking!
What I enjoyed most was the kirtan singing and pranayama.
I’m glad for the free trial, but I won’t be staying on beyond that.

No classes after update
The app was the only way to watch on my iPad as the page on the browser is unresponsive. It worked great for a while but with the latest update it’s just not showing any classes :/
Disappointed
I love the website and have been a member for seven years or so by now. Sadly the app is a real disappointment though. The older version had its issues but the new update seems to have a bug that makes the most important feature unavailable: The ability to stream on a smart TV. I haven’t been able to practice properly since the new update. When I go to connect it asks for access to my network, I approve and give permission and then the icon disappears and does not return and I am unable to stream. I’m disappointed as well with the communication with the tech team. They replied to my original inquiry about this problem without addressing either of the two issues I was having with the app. I wrote back kindly pointing out the issues I had again. After a couple of days they replied again only addressing one of the issues. It’s now been over a week since I replied once more politely asking for assistance with the streaming issue and still no reply.

Can’t pause videos
Overall the app is fine but there is a glaring issue when chrome casting. The video continues to play on my iPad. I can pause the video on the app and it continues to play on the tv. But then I can’t pause or rewind if I want to hold a pose longer. They need to fix this!
Love EkhartYoga but not the app
Love EkhartYoga but the app is so frustrating. First the downloaded apps keep disappearing recently.
And then it keeps refreshing for a long time before each use. The only way i can use it is if i have videos downloaded. And now even that doesn’t work.

The videos often won’t work
Even after downloading the videos they will not play; fairly frustrating

Very disappointed!
I was so excited to use this app in order to download specific classes and use the screen mirror function on my Samsung TV. This was one of the main reasons I bought the monthly membership at Ekhart Yoga, rather than streaming for free on other sites. Everything worked well for 3 weeks (the 2 week trial membership and the first week of the the paid membership).
The app is no longer working, it just spins and spins with the message it is accessing the videos from the server. But nothing ever gets accessed. I have deleted and reinstalled the app at least 5 times with same result.
The experience is not the same going through the website and watching it on my iPad.
I may not renew my membership.

Not a reflection of the website
The online content is fantastic, the teachers a great. The website is refined and professional.
But, the mobile app is garbage. The videos don’t play, so there’s nothing left to do but uninstall.
(It would also be great if it supported Chromecast)

The content is fantastic, I pretty much do the classes every day, but only website. The app videos dont even play. Also I need to log in everytime.
Please fix this 2 issues because you deserve better star rating and review.

Great to have offline videos
I love that I can download videos to my phone. I also have no problems streaming through the app. The only thing that I would change is to be able to sign in on the front page WITHOUT needing to first click on 'see how it works' and then clicking 'skip introduction' before being able to sign in. It would be even better to not even need to sign in on the app every single time I open it. It should be able to remember me and be able to check that I have an account. Those are minor irritations though, to being able to have offline videos!
