Why can’t ElAl make an app that works?
Terrible
Shahram Shamounpour
I originally had a flight from Tel Aviv to Los Angeles on August 19, but due to a change in my plans, I needed to return earlier. I called EL AL on August 16, and they were able to arrange a flight for me on August 17.
What impressed me the most was:
1. They did not charge me any extra fee for changing my flight.
2. I explained that I had a hip replacement, and they kindly arranged a seat with extra legroom to make my flight more comfortable.
3. I requested a Mehadrin meal on very short notice, and they still went out of their way to accommodate me.
4. Most importantly, the entire experience felt like home.
The flight attendants were extremely kind, helpful, and professional. Their warmth and personal attention made a big difference.
I truly appreciate EL AL and the wonderful staff for taking such good care of me. Thank you for making me feel at home, even while flying thousands of miles away.
Abusing notifications for ads is not ok
The only good thing about this app is that it is not as bad as the website.
Not for tracking
Improved but still not great
My baggage allowance is ALWAYS incorrect and based on the class rather than my status (for example for premium economy I see 3x50lb instead of 70lb which I am allowed to bring as a PL member).
The “upgrade” flow is very annoying and you need to go back to the Home Screen to pick a different option.
The “flight details” button for the individual flights is not prominent enough and is camouflaged by the background.
There’s no timeline to see my future points and diamonds by quarter like other airlines display, etc. etc.
El Al - I know you can do better than this. It’s 2026.
