Worth Camp, the ElDorado Morning News and Evening Times.Times Paper Boy of 1948.
Paper Boy. I delivered your papers each day in the summer of 1948. I was in the 8th grade at Yocum School. My route started with Hall’s Drugs and Sheriff O. E. Bishop’s brother’s Fancy Mediterranean Filling Station. It was located on the NE Corner of the Square.
Today. that corner is the “Old (yellow brick) Murphy Bldg.” My last of the 145 Morning papers fell on the front porch of Lawyer Surry Gilliam’s two-story home - now the intersection of N. Jefferson and 10th Street.
El Dorado’s population with the Lion Oil Chemical Plant, Root Petroleum Refinery for wartime aviation gas, approached 40,000 at the end of WW 2.
During the big war, we kids in ElDorado saw countless 1000s of Navy Single Wing and Double Wing Navy Training Airplanes fly over our neighborhoods. They came from Naval Air Station - Memphis and their outlying training fields - including today’s Pine Bluff Airport.

El Dorado News Times Rocks!
At first I was hesitant about jumping on board the digital version of the News Times. But since I got the app I have been delighted to learn that you can listen to your morning paper if you wish, at the price of one little button on the bottom left! So I’ve been listening to articles I pick, on my regular smart phone and haven’t gotten the iPad yet. But we are looking forward to that. I appreciate that the News Times has leveled with us about the difficulties in staying in business as a press, hence the price increase. I just feel that supporting one’s community newspaper will help keep the town alive...and aware! Kudos to our paper’s tireless writers and staff.

No paper days
There’s been several times that I didn’t receive a paper even after trying several times to load it. Oftentimes I have missed at least two papers in a week. Is there a remedy for this? Please advise.

Great News Paper app
This app is easy to use. I can scroll from page to page with ease. I can zoom in and out to get a better picture and I can save article that are relevant to me. Great job.
Don’t work.
I have iPhone 11pro max this app can not work on it.
