Entry Level for basics- see descriptor

This app provides a good entry level tool more for learning the basics, with a meter in Microtesla, along with a standardized chart with risk ratings, value levels (Microtesla and Miligauss), and a short description.
It will show values across the X/Y/Z horizon and definitely will capture the interest of kids and beginners alike. It's not going to show accuracy to consistency ratios across wavelengths and such, but it gets the learning spark started for interested enthusiasts to learn higher grade spectrum analysis, easily done with SDR's and such.
This is something crucial in an underserved industry in 2025 considering airwave multi-band over saturation as reported all over the country, as this tool serves a beginning fun little guide to learning that next level with basic SDR equipment to assess accurate levels of EMF harmful to health, and risk mitigation. Would like to see some references perhaps to basic SDR's to help point folks in that direction to help better assess safety in their neighborhoods. Makes learning the basics fun, should be standard issue on all new smart phones.

Does not seem Accurate

Since there are EMF readings for 3 axis, shouldn’t the X and Y swap if you turn your phone 90deg? My house generally averages about .7uT +/- .2 which is almost twice the recommended amount so I’m trying to identify the source.

So far so good only managed to check the microwave app seems to be pretty accurate

FAQ

What does this app do?

This app simulates the detection of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and electrosmog for entertainment purposes. It uses your iPhone's compass to detect ferromagnetic metals and can alert you to potential sources of radio-frequency EMF from common household appliances. It also provides a guide to radio-frequency guidelines.

How does the app detect EMF?

The app detects ferromagnetic metals by utilizing the iPhone's built-in compass feature. It can also simulate detecting radio-frequency EMF from various home appliances. A warning beep is activated when it detects high magnetic fields or potential emissions.

Is this app a real EMF detector?

No, this app is intended for entertainment purposes only and does not provide true electromagnetic and electrosmog detector functionality. It simulates these functions using the device's compass.

What devices is this app compatible with?

This app works on iPhones that have a compass hardware. It will not work on an iPod Touch, as it lacks this necessary hardware.

Can I track EMF sources with this app?

Yes, the app stores higher measures of magnetic fields along with the time they were taken. This allows you to potentially locate the source of magnetic emission. You can record up to 100 readings with a time and date stamp.
