My go-to bar app
I’ve used this app for years and love that I can enter my own recipes. In the past recipes entered on my iPhone would show in the app on my iPad. Recently that has stopped and no response to my inquiry. Have they stopped updating the app? It would be a shame.
It’s Still Very Good
It’s been a bit since an update - so currently you cannot add a story or notes to your drinks but the app is easy to navigate and extremely useful.
The Best Cocktail App
I’ve been using Elemental Cocktails for at least five years now. It remains the best app for cocktail recipes. Other apps may have alluring features, but as a cocktail enthusiast, Elemental checks all the essential boxes for me: classy and simple design, over 50 free classic cocktail recipes with well-informed histories/“stories” (with more collections available for one-time purchases), and—most importantly for me—excellent cocktail recipes. Oh, and it’s free!
I’ll always be exploring other apps/websites/YouTube channels for new and different cocktails; but when it comes to the classics, Elemental Cocktails has repeatedly delivered the best cocktails. My friends have agreed on this point every time I’ve experimented with a classic outside of Elemental’s purview.
Tuck those other cocktail apps away in a folder on some back page of your Home Screen if you can’t part with them, and keep this one front and center. You (and your friends) will be consistently satisfied.

So far so good
Just started using the app and like it so far. I like being able to same my own recipes. Just a couple issues so far: app crashes every time saving a custom recipe. Also, it won’t save ingredients that aren’t already in the drop down list, e.g., lemonade. Fortunately, the recipe is not lost.
Love it!
Just installed Elemental Cocktails and Love It! I love it’s very clean and elegant UI, not overwhelming me with thousands of recipes (yet the key ones are here), ability to add comments and my own recipes. And the stores about cocktail histories are fun. Great!
Brilliant
Clean and easy to navigate - not only having cocktails on the app you can also add more based on various types of drinks. Best is the ability to add your own cocktails to the collection. Search feature is spot on and just a note of interest to have the story of the cocktail as well. Excellent - this is really the only cocktail app you need.

Super helpful, unique app
This app is great in helping you discover new cocktails, learn how to make them with detailed recipes, and the histories are super unique and interesting. Very well researched. It's also beautifully designed; love the coasters!
Good app but not good for metric
I would love to continue to use this app if not for the metrics that don’t go over 32 ml… it’s a simple UI change. Allowing the numerical input

Best at managing cocktail recipes
There are plenty of apps that manage your alcohol supplies and that let you find drinks to make from them. Elemental Cocktails has chosen to avoid that clutter and to specialize in helping you enter and manage cocktail recipes. There are some famous recipes provided, but the primary purpose is to enter and manage your own. The app has a beautifully understated user interface. It’s easy to use and elegant. I love that I can enter the history of each cocktail, not just the ingredients and build process. The actual steps to enter a recipe are streamlined and extremely easy. Drinks can be categorized by ‘mood’ - boozy, citrusy, fruity, etc. or sorted into various categories such as the ones you entered, your favorites, or ones you’ve bookmarked. I’ve been very pleased with this app. The developers have been responsive and helpful when i’ve had questions. I’m a little surprised that the app is free - not that i’m complaining...

Just what I’ve been looking for
I live in an area where more “specialty” liquors are hard to come by, so when I went home to the big city, I bought a couple and brought them back with me. However, I couldn’t figure out what to do with them and everything I googled was giving me complicated recipes with extra ingredients I couldn’t get.
This helped me out so much! I was able to choose my base liquor and quickly found a simple, delicious recipe to try!
I love the design and I love that it shows you the cocktails recommended glass and history. Very good for cocktail enthusiasts. :)

Easy to use, good recipes, great app to add own recipes
Care was obviously taken to provide a good experience. The recipes are good but I love the easy way to add your own cocktails.
One improvement would be to add in the ingredients you have so you can see what recipes you can make. Some other apps have this feature.

I’ve tried all the cocktail apps, this one is the best.
The user flow is intuitive and the layout clean and simple. Gives you exactly the info you need to pull up recipes fast without a bunch of extra blocks of text or double menus. No, it doesn't have the most recipes in its starter pack, but you can add your own recipes easily and, once you do, they are very quick to access. This app also allows you to buy “collections” from respected cocktails books, rather than being dedicated to one book, which is genius. The other apps have clunky layouts, loud ads, or branded recipes. The history here is also comprehensive and well researched.

There are SOOOO many bad cocktail apps on the store! Horrible interfaces, junk drinks just used as filler, typo, and on and on.
This app is great! A small number of recipes and the ability to put whatever you want into it and then know that it's backed up makes this app a clear winner!

Great choices, beautiful design
I'm a cocktail buff, so I'm pretty fussy about the apps I use. This one is beautiful and well thought out. The design is clean and easy to use. The recipes selected are a good blend of essentials from the past and new classics. There's no filler here, just good drinks and the ability to add your own frequently used recipes. Everything you need and nothing to get in the way of it!

Clean and sophisticated cocktail recipe app
The simplicity and beauty of this app makes it easy to navigate through recipe and effortlessly find what you're looking for. There aren't tons of recipe to sift through so it makes you feel as though each recipe was thoughtfully selected.
Great app for discovering new cocktails
Fantastic for learning about new cocktails to make with the ingredients you have on hand, and for finding what you want when you want it!
