It's junk

Not working for me some one is texting me I don't see who it is

What a game changer!

When social media first came on the scene, it promised connection and an easy way to keep in touch with those that mattered. After years of monetization though, it has become nothing more than another avenue for companies and influencers to pry away your valuable time and hard earned money. At the same time, there’s no easy way to fully disconnect, as we must play the game if we want a semblance of remaining in touch with friends who are spread out across the globe. Now we have that tool to help us disconnect! Elsewhere lets me check in on those I love, while not demanding 4 hours of doomscrolling from me. Thank you, Elsewhere! You guys have something special here, and I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Highly suspect

This app sounds like a great idea on paper but given that it’s basically unresearchable makes me too nervous to create an account to trial it. Who owns it? How do they intend to make money from the platform? I haven’t found anything and, due to its name, it’s almost impossible to search up info on. It’s got five stars but that’s from only 18 reviews that all read like they were written by the same AI. They’re advertising on Reddit, so there’s at least SOME money behind a marketing push but not knowing who’s behind it means I’m not willing to be a guinea pig.

Response from developer

Hey, thanks for the review! Definitely understand the skepticism, especially given the reputation existing social media platforms have gathered. We are just two best friends that have spent 10 years building an app we hope can keep us and others connected with their real friends online. Hopefully you can give us a shot to turn that review around. PS we’re hard to find because we just launched and are early in the growth stage. Hopefully we’re not hard to find for long

An extremely fun app

A truly fun and useful app. Easiest way to stay in contact with friends. No ads or influencers. Almost feels like a group chat on steroids. A must use app!

Paradigm shift we all need

Bringing social media back to its roots. Finally a place for people to be authentic again!!!
