About

Know where you stand before you book. Elsewhere is a private travel-day planner for US passport holders. It brings recorded travel, planned trips, and your remaining Schengen allowance into one clear view. BUILD A REVIEWABLE HISTORY Use photo dates and location metadata to suggest past stays. Optional low-power location events provide additional country-level evidence. Review suggestions, correct missing days, and keep several countries on a day when you cross a border. PLAN BEFORE YOU FLY Select arrival and departure dates on one calendar. See how a trip affects your allowance, including the busiest point across your plans. Over-limit plans receive clear warnings. SEE TODAY AND AFTER YOUR PLANS Browse recorded and planned trips as cards, or explore them on a calendar. See your available days today, the projected balance after planned travel, and when earlier days return to your allowance. SYNC AND RECOVER Optional iCloud sync uses your private iCloud database to keep history and plans available across devices. Independent edits combine automatically; genuine conflicts can be reviewed in groups. Recovery points and encrypted file backups let you preview changes before restoring, with a local safety copy for undo. Update all participating devices to version 1.1 for the new sync system. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Photo metadata is processed on device. Photo contents and exact photo or location coordinates are not uploaded by Elsewhere. Travel records stay on your device unless you enable private iCloud sync or export a backup. No Elsewhere account, advertising, or analytics SDK is required. SET YOUR ASSUMPTIONS Save your home country and, where relevant, a valid Schengen residence permit or long-stay visa. Elsewhere explains the assumptions behind its calculations and provides links to official guidance. Elsewhere is a planning aid for the Schengen rule of 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, not legal advice or a guarantee of entry. Incomplete travel history can affect results. Check official requirements before travelling.

What's New in Elsewhere

1.1.1

September 9, 2026

Fixes an issue where newly detected locations appeared in the calendar but did not update the travel allowance or ongoing trip. Detected days now update a clearly labelled estimate. Review and confirm a whole period together to update your saved history. Missing evidence no longer produces a misleading clear status. Also improves manual country corrections, day changes, and forecast labels, and prevents deleted history from reappearing through older location observations.
