About

Elta is built for serious athletes and the coaches who train them — not for general dieters chasing a number on the scale. Whether you're prepping for a powerlifting meet, training through perimenopause, or working a 12-week build with your coach, Elta gives you precise, calm, on-device tracking that respects how serious training actually works. The trinity. Three equal rings at the top of every day: Calories, Protein, and Workout. No single ring is the protagonist. Most apps treat calories as the headline number; Elta treats your training and your protein as equally important, because in real prep, they are. The plan editor. Your coach gives you a program. Elta gives you a place to put it. Set your horizon in weeks — 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 24 weeks, whatever your coach assigned — and Elta tracks where you are in the prep and how the plan is going. Custom macros AND custom nutrients (Iron, Sodium, Sugar, Sat Fat, Cholesterol, Potassium, Calcium, Vitamins A & C, and more) so your coach's exact numbers live in the app, not in a screenshot of a PDF. The voice. Elta's framing is "show up for you," not "burn off what you ate." There's no shame copy, no weight-loss algorithm, no nagging streak that breaks if you miss a day. The chip at the top of every screen reads "Day N showing up for you" — and it counts every day you log, never penalizes the ones you don't. The privacy. Everything runs on your device. No cloud, no analytics, no social feed, no ads, no data sold. Apple Health, Apple Watch, and a local catalog of 20,000+ common foods (expandable to the full library when you want it). Your coach's plan stays between you, your coach, and your phone. The features. • Trinity dashboard — Calories, Protein, Workout at a glance, every day • Plan editor — horizon in weeks, start date, custom macros, custom nutrients • Plan history — every save captured, so you can see how your program has evolved • Today dashboard with leaf-flagged nutrient peek (Iron / Sodium / Sugar) • Workout trends with day-by-day breakdown • Nutrient tracking against FDA Daily Values OR your coach's custom targets • Adherence summary: backward-looking, kind-framed "how this plan's going" • Offline-first — works in the gym, on the road, on a plane Built by an athlete, for athletes. Elta started as a personal tool — a perimenopausal woman athlete tracking macros and lifts and finding that no existing app spoke to her training reality. When a multi-world-record holder in powerlifting saw it, he asked to use it for himself and his clients, and we've been co-designing since. It serves both audiences because both need the same thing: precise, respectful, on-device tracking that takes serious training seriously.

What's New in Elta

1.2

October 6, 2026

Elta 1.2 — more of what you asked for. NEW • Siri Shortcuts — say "Hey Siri, log a workout in Elta" and start dictating, hands-free. • Daily check-in — log your mood and energy (plus a note) right on Today. • Four more nutrients — Folate, Omega-3, Zinc, and Vitamin K, tracked everywhere. • Fully editable food entries — adjust every macro and micronutrient on any entry. SMARTER WORKOUT LOGGING • Fuzzy search finds your exercises even in a different word order. • More recent-exercise shortcuts (now 20). • A gentle nudge to keep exercise names consistent — spoken aloud when you log by voice. EASIER TO START • A "Take a tour" banner for new users, and a quick walkthrough of your profile, targets, Apple Health, and weekly plan. FIXES • Label scan now catches Vitamin D from supplement bottles. • Editing a food entry shows the name field again. • More accurate fat parsing from labels. • Catalog, Favorites, and Recents now carry all your nutrients when you log — not just macros. Private and on-device, always. No ads, no judgment.
