Review updated from 5 to 2 stars. Inno does not offer a fair playing field.

After a year of playing, my affection for the game started to wane, and after 1.5 years later, I have ceased playing.

Whilst it is a good game in some ways (I did get pretty stuck in, and feel I grasped how it worked and became an efficient and effective player quite fast) it became repetitive and the grind becomes boring. Though they have different events over the year, they are basically the same few game events repeated. Spire and tourney every week (I was in a gold spire and 15 chest FS) became a boring chore.

I like the graphics, and some of the building animations are funny, but the use of AI to create some artwork was becoming more frequent and pretty obvious.

The spire changes over a year ago were unsettling but manageable. The magic academy changes was the thing that really showed me that Inno care about money (fair enough I guess, they are a business) but importantly, they don’t seem to care about the experience of newer players. Whereas before the changes, newer players were at least able to obtain certain important buildings (e.g. brown bear, polar bear, fire phoenix) in a few months if you were proactive about it. But now that is pretty much impossible, even if you are paying to play.

I found that the plans I had for my city became unachievable within a reasonable time due to these changes. New players have a big disadvantage over older players anyway, but with the removal of several important buildings from the game, they made the gap even bigger.

The game also became glitchy and unstable and would crash every 5 - 10 minutes.

I also think it’s pretty unethical to use volunteers instead of a properly trained and paid customer and technical support staff. Inno is not a small company, why do they not pay their staff?

They could do so much to make this game appealing to a wider audience. Firstly though, Inno, please sort out your archaic and inconvenient message system. It is long overdue and players have been begging for improvements for years.

Amazingly fun

This game is super fun and relaxing but I was thinking it would be nice to rotate a building so it occupies the same amount of space but in a different direction it would also be nice to be able to choose the color of the buildings like right now what if I don’t want a residence on level four to be blue what if I want it to be red to match the main hall or I want the main hall to be blue but all in all it’s a amazing game that’s beautifully animated also why are the elves blue

Ok mobile game

I like this game to play on an iPad. On my iPhone the game display goes under the camera field. I cannot see the two tabs on the left at all on my iPhone.

Elvenar

Its a relaxing game were you have fun and lurn at the same time

City scam!

These guys are scum. They just acknowledged ripping me off due to a bug and told me that they weren’t going to fix it. They take every opportunity to milk you for cash to the point where you can’t complete ANY of the event tasks without spending real cash. Avoid inno!

Amazing!

A smart game that challenges you, helps you appreciate the long game, learning patience (if you don’t have it already). This is it. Try it!

iPad

I have been having troubles playing on my iPad and had to go to my iPhone to complete the tasts. I had to revert to play on my iPhone, sometimes I can get on my iPad but not all the time. I like playing this game in the fellowship I’m in.

Very well done strategy game

Like many world builder games it can seem a little slow and limited in scope to start but as you gain strength and resources, it gains depth. Joining a fellowship group is the key to unlocking richer gameplay and building your successful city while adding a bit of low key social interaction. If you like fantasy worlds and strategic gameplay without constant ads and micro transactions, you’ll enjoy this game.

Slow paced (f2p) but a well made game

The game is made well, the graphics and animations are pretty cool. The building animations and design are worth zooming in and checking out.

It’s pretty slow paced if you don’t spend any money on it. So if you want a game you can spend your whole day on keep looking. If you want something you can spend a few minutes on here and there throughout the day this game is perfect. The further in you go the more depth it has.

Stick with it through the slow humble beginnings and it gets better as you go.

Problems with iOS 26 on a 9th gen iPad

Game keeps shutting down and restarting if opening another world. Impossible to play.

Great game but can be a bit much at times

If you’re a person who likes to organize and progress gradually then you’ll love this game. The only thing that bothers me is how much things become such a frustrating hassle in the mid game. There are tools for to circumvent the hassle but the tools themselves are such a hassle as well. The limit on gold and other things, like copper and granite get so frustrating. I also hate having everything nice and neat but out of nowhere I have to “build 10 of these buildings” story quest…which means messing up your entire setup for a messy inefficient setup. It’s doable, but so frustrating, irritating, and sometimes feels forced/unnecessary. It really makes me want to quit at times but the truth is…there’s no other game as good as this one. I like how you don’t have to spend money to continue progressing (although I have spent a little bit here and there every 3 months or so.) Every time I want to drop this game, it pulls me back in with a 3 day boost to supplies and stuff FOR FREE. I used to think it was the sunk cost fallacy keeping me playing but I must be honest: it’s a fantastic game. I hate to say it because this game tests my patience sometimes but it might as well be a masterpiece as far as games like these are concerned. I wish it was on Xbox series s too. Anyways, it’s definitely worth your time but just remember you will definitely get frustrated at times and think to yourself “why am I doing this? Where is this headed?” I’d recommend it to anyone, especially since it’s not driven by capitalistic greed 24/7. I just wish they handed out expansions a little more tho. Is 1 free expansion square every 6 months too much to ask for?

Enjoying. It’s not for the faint of heart

Waiting to go through security

I was caught up in that fiasco of a four hour wait in the security line at the airport. Lucky for me I had made sure that my Husband had his cane that can become a seat. We took turns sitting down now if it wasn’t for this game I probably would’ve done something not lady like to the bratty nine-year-old who are standing near us. This game kept me saying and I thank you for it.

Money Grab

I was having fun with it for about 20 minutes and then hit a paywall. I had a quest to build new buildings and couldn’t because I didn’t have the space. They wanted money to expand.

Boring game

Unless you like boredom, avoid.

Fun but buggy

This game is really fun and I was enjoying it immensely until I went through the difficult task of opening expansion 4 on the research list and it didn’t give it to me. It’s really hard to earn expansions and when I didn’t get it, it took all the joy out of the game. Please fix this.

Legit single player

It’s so far legit not a pvp game and hope stays. However need hospital and better military to start with, some provinces require higher level resources
