Great app

This app is great. I use it to track symptoms Iโ€™m having and record their frequency. Itโ€™s a great way to show my doctor how frequently a symptom is occurring, and it is super simple to use.

Very useful app

I love this app! There is one feature Iโ€™d like to see: a display of the lapsed time between EACH button press. I know there is a setting for time between a single point in time and the button press time, but that isnโ€™t as useful. Otherwise, a great app!

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to review! In the Options panel at the bottom is an option for "Allow Multiple Zeroes". This allows you to specify the "zero points" that you want, so by clicking the zero symbol on each event you'll see each event-to-event interval in interval mode.

Great But

This app would perfect if it supported separate lists of the times rather than combining them all - I would creat a list of medicines, lists of task completions for various projects , a list for workouts, a list for household chores, etc. etc.

Excellent app

Use this for logging milestones while travelling and for critical client calls, so I know when we spoke. Easy to use and accurate.

Great App used in Race Timing

As a race timer for over a decade, Iโ€™ve needed independent way to capture an accurate time of day. This app has been a near perfect solution. It has been worth the price. The only improvement would be making one of the volume buttons able to capture a time so I didnโ€™t need to be looking at my phone.

FAQ

What does Emerald Timestamp do?

Emerald Timestamp captures the precise time of events and allows you to associate a description with each one. It also functions as a highly accurate running clock, synchronizing with atomic clocks via NTP for precision usually within 0.2 seconds.

How accurate is the time synchronization?

The app uses atomic clocks via NTP, typically achieving accuracy within 0.2 seconds. Color coding indicates when synchronization is valid. While network is required for synchronization, events can be recorded without it, albeit with less accuracy.

What are the different time representations available?

You can easily cycle through local 12-hour time, local 24-hour time, UTC (GMT), Julian Date (JD), and intervals from a reference time. Tapping on a time in the display allows you to switch between these formats.

Can I export my recorded events?

Yes, you can email the time and description of individual events or all events. The export can be formatted using TSV or CSV for easy import into spreadsheets, utilizing your device's email program.

Is this app compatible with external keyboards?

Yes, the app supports hardware keyboards, including those like the iPad Pro's Smart Keyboard. You can trigger events using keys like the space bar, enter key, or digits 1 through 0. Note that Bluetooth keyboards may introduce a slight delay.
