Some of the other reviewers are getting confused over EM fields vs radioactive decay and radiation which is different. Description doesn’t help as wrong terminology used.
I know this works but using the flux valve (compass) in the iphone.
I’ve been using this in my electromagnetism experiment it’s really great for me.
The only thing it could benefit from is some way to help interpret the values (Apparently in MicroTesla) versus something like, standing next to a substation transformer?

Another magnet detector
It does not detect electrical current or microwaves.

ok so I have another iPad that’s an iPad Pro and when it got close we got high radiation and idk if that a problem or what so it’s rather I need help or what please tell me what

MISLEADING
I am a amateur radio operator and this looked very suspicious, as the standard way of measuring radio wave field strength is a field strength meter. For ionizing radiation (x-rays, gamma rays) a Geiger counter is used. EMF at the radio and microwave frequencies (30kHz-275GHz) is not harmful in any way, in fact cell phones and computers use radio to communicate, you know this as Wi-Fi. Radio waves pass right through humans with no problems, with very few exceptions. This app uses a magnet for sensing other magnetic fields, a factor a electromagnetic radiation. However, the electromagnetic fields of even a close antenna at high power barely move the counter, radio fields that are strong come in at a voltage of about 0.000050 Volts, with your phone charger using 12 volts. To conclude, radio waves do NOT have any adverse health affects, this app does NOT measure properly electromagnetic radiation ionizing or non-ionizing, rather it is a toy using magnetic fields.

Comparing Emf’s
So i have a EMF reader that i just got today,
And i was comparing the app to the real EMF reader it does red on the real emf reader when my laptop is near it and orange going to red on the app if u cant afford an EMF reader then get this app i gave it a 3 out of 5 cause its not totally accurate but it works for a Substitute but otherwise you should get the real thing.

Waste of time
It’s metal, anything metal at all will make it go up. I was searching around and got to a draw, it went up so I opened it and it went up more. Got suspicious so took a metal spoon out put it near my phone it went up, moved it away went back down. Don’t bother wasting your time its a bunch of crap!
Apparently doesn’t detect ionizing radiation
This app seems to effectively detect electromagnetic radiation in the range of radio waves and magnetism. When I bring a magnet close to my phone, the detector goes nuts into the high range. Also responds strongly to my automotive “keyless” key, which presumably emits radiation in the RF range. Responds moderately when placed next to my digital video recorder, which sends RF signals to my wireless earphones. No response over baseline when place next to my wi-fi router. And no response at all when placed next to a hunk of uranium ore.
The developer needs to clarify exactly what EMF frequency ranges this detects. Seems to be more of a magnetism detector, which makes sense, since the units are micro-Teslas, a unit used to measure magnetic fields. This app, however, is definitely worth downloading and experimenting with.
