Hervorragende App, allerdings…
… muss man sich ein bisschen in den Sachverhalt hinein arbeiten. Wie ihr Name schon sagt, öffnet sie nur Mails, die mit ihrer Endung auf eml enden. Ich wollte gerne einen exportierten Ordner von Mozilla Thunderbird öffnen, und zwar über eine ans Ipad angeschlossene SSD.. Das ging so nur teilweise, weil viele Mails in komplexen Ordnerstrukturen eingebunden sind und sich dann nicht öffnen lassen. Hier braucht man eine kostenlose Erweiterung in Mozilla Thunderbird, z.B. "ImportExportTools NG", die es - nachdem sie installiert ist und Mozilla Thunderbird neu gestartet wurde - ermöglicht, die gesamten Mails im eml-Format zu exportieren. Das geht dann wirklich einfach. Und schon kann man mit dem EML Viewer die gesamten Mails schön nach Datum sortiert auf dem Ipad öffnen. Perfekt! Vielen Dank den Entwicklern!

Works as advertised, but…
Make sure you select “send a copy” (NOT “collaborate”) on the share menu when you want to send a file to EML viewer. Only when sending a copy you’ll see EML viewer as a target. Also: Don’t be disappointed that it doesn’t show Apple Mail attachments from Apple Mail .eml files that you created from archiving them to the Apple Files App. That’s not a bug in EML viewer, that’s a bug from Apple. Simply also drag the attachments from Mail to Files to archive them as well.
