Useless, doesn’t see my MC 1
Even if your phone is connected to your preamp’s bluetooth and can stream music to it, you will likely have no luck seeing the preamp on your application.
The Worst
This app rarely works. I love the audio performance but would not buy this again. This much money and they outsource an app to 3rd party that just doesn’t work. Then they hand you a huge metal remote expecting that is what audiophiles want. EMOTIVA NEEDS TO RETHINK HIGH END. They don’t get it. And a black remote with no back light for a $4000 processor in a dark theater fails miserably then the app connects 4% of the time. Pathetic work by their design team and all mgt not to get it.

Works well, but we need more …
This app works well for what it does, however it doesn’t fully exploit the capabilities of the XMC and RMC processors. We need to be able to control more speaker pairs, at least all of the height speakers together. There’s a lot more that could be done, but it’s still a good app and can replace the physical remote.

Emotiva device is widely treat as good, even very good…. So why remote app can not achieve at least half of device level??

Only works occasionally.
I can see my RMC-1 about 1/2 the time when opening the app. Close and reopen the app works most of the time. When making adjustments it frequently can’t see the processor anymore and the refresh feature does nothing. Close the app and try it again.
