Long time player disappointed
Don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing game. I’ve been playing this game for about four years now. But once you reach a specific level and/or have been a loyal paying player there are plenty of things the devs have not updated or fixed. They also stopped listening to players in the discord and through their customer service. (They haven’t updated the otherworld, the Destiny chart, the prison, the court roulette, AND FASHION FEST.) Fashion fest is practically useless in some servers because the participants are less than ten and then that means no one is allowed to vote or get the gem rewards at all. It’s bs. Multiple people in my server have begged the devs to fix it and they just give us a polite yet dismissive response. They have gotten very money hungry also. Things used to be more generous and that’s why so many people were playing at the time. But that was like.. two years ago. Now all they ever focus on is recycling the same outfit sets in events and making the ingot price of game token ridiculous so you pretty much can’t get anything except one or two items from a set max after an event. I really used to be a ride or die fan of this game and had multiple friends join because I loved it so much but they all stopped playing due to how the devs have been acting with the game lately. It’s sad and disappointing. Even other members in the server have been dropping like flies because of this and everyone on the discord is upset and disappointed as well. DEVS PLEASE MAKE SOME CHANGES YOU’RE LOSING YOUR FAN BASE!

I know my comment will get flooded in the sea of amazing reviews ITS LITERALLY THAT GOOD. There’s no ads and the in game purchases actually IMPROVE game play. Don’t get me started on the devs. You can tell they really poured their heart and soul into it and has been my favorite game for the last year. They put on so many events, have immersive stories and beautiful outfits. I seriously have never played anything like it for a mobile game. It’s everything I was looking for in 1 and extreamly hard to get tired of. Good job devs!😊

It’s good but…
Everything is amazing, but my only little complaint is the events. They go by so quickly, and it’s hard to obtain the event currency in the mini games or save up ingots… It makes it very difficult to get the event-exclusive outfits when you’re a non-VIP.

This game sucks bruh, I chose the darkest girl because it was closest to my skin which actually it was way to dark but I choose her and in the story they legit just but the whitest porcelain girl ever and painted only her face BLACK and thought oh yeah the crowds going to love this like WHATTT that’s legit just black face my guy. I would’ve rather only white options than that bud I wouldn’t have minded considering it’s a Chinese theme you wouldn’t really see anyone of my skin tone then, which is okay if the game did that more realistic I guess. Anyways game was just trash besides that and it was just like not creative and boring. Wouldn’t recommend though —-Fate of the empress is a good game anybody reading this should get it!

Inaction from developers
Despite hundreds of complaints made about some individuals electing to use racist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, and ableist slurs toward players, no action has been taken from the development team. They have had a while now to sort this out, and their apparent refusal to do so says enough to me that this developer does not care about the experience of its players. They have been asked time and time again to fix this and have barely acknowledged the issue. Not good enough.

Bullying allowed
I’ve got screenshots of them telling me to kill myself, I’ve got screenshots of them personally attacking me, and my family, of saying disgusting things. I’ve reported it to the App Store and others in my server have reported it to the company and they’re not doing a thing. It’s extremely disheartening and evil.

Bullying allowed against neurodivergent women
They have allowed two people to just brutally bully a lady who is Audhd. When I tried to address the situation they spent money money money, and this platform banned me for standing up to the bullying. As long as they get the money, and as long as the bullies are spending, they will shut down every other voice. This is an app that has been taken over by liberal screamers who will do anything to win, including attempts at destroying a mentally challenged persons health, joy, and peace. Which is what my sister enjoyed for 3.5 years, until one person decided she wanted to be the top winner. Are you people that desperate for money?

Beware of Bullies
This game does not allow you to report bullies. The game despite that is fun. I suggest to not say anything in world chat until you are comfortable with the sever and everyone seems to be decent. You can only block someone. Such an annoying flaw.
Originally good, now leaving
Game was enjoyable with a good storyline and a good number of players on the server, but after a while many players leave the game leaving the server really quiet and some components of the game useless as they require a minimum number of players participation. No option to transfer account to a more active server. Very frustrating.
Reached the end of the storyline and now lucky to see a new chapter added every 2 or 3 months.
The game would be more engaging if there were options to change to another server once one has too few players. Or if the developers would merge servers.

BEWARE. This game encourages and enables harassment, bullying
This awful game. Such a money grab. They do nothing to stop or prevent bullying as the “competition” keeps putting money in their pockets. Some girls commit suicide over this stuff. Please don’t allow younger people to play this game.
Good game overall, some annoyances
Overall I really enjoyed this game! My community was super amazing (tho I’ve heard otherwise from different servers) and I really enjoyed the early plot and a lot of mechanics. The outfits are fun and very pretty, and I like the many servants and general progression mechanics.
The plot of the story, however, is repetitive and boring after a time. The emperor is frustrating (I have never hated a man more, he’s so stupid) and there are so many more minor characters (mostly the four love interests) that are so much more engaging but get little time to shine on their own. I also really hated how much irl money was necessary to gain items during events, as you could save 4000 gold and still not be able to make enough in a event to get a cool outfit.
I may go back to play this game eventually but I got frustrated and wasn’t having fun. The community kept me going as long as it was (shout out to royal from server 66!), I just wish the plot was more engaging and didn’t require quite so much saving up.

Crash crash crash
Update 11/26/24 - a lot of features need updating. I’ve been playing this game for more than 2 years being at the top of the leaderboard but with the lack of updates everyone starts catching up with you. Spending money previously to get a head is a waste because eventually you come to a dead end and can’t do anything. This game also has a bunch of inactive or dying servers and not one server merge has happened since the game launched. (There are features that require participants otherwise you don’t rank or win.)
App keeps crashing. When u do things a little to fast it can’t take it and just crashes lol. Also users never log in so your group score goes down and all your hard work is for nothing. They need to change the days to 2 days instead of 7 especially if you are a group owner. You spend real money only for other users who don’t log in ruin your hard work.

Terrible Customer Service
Do not play this game if you expect any kind of decency from the devs. Players bully and harass other players non stop, using hate speech and threatening people and customer service does nothing about it no matter how many screenshots you send them with proof of people being awful.
I love this game
I never bother to leave reviews on games but I enjoy this game so much, I love dressing up my character and the story line is so entertaining to me. I normally don’t have time for myself throughout the day but I would play this game for like 2 hours at night enjoying my time. It’s very calm and fun to play I adore it so much!!

Genuinely addicted to this game
I have been logging in everyday for half a year now, and honestly its just because the game is so refreshing compared to other ones. No ingame ads, you dont have to pay to enjoy the game (havent spent a cent,) the plot is interesting and theres hella tea (drama) and the outfits are really fun to create once you have a good wardrobe built up. Admittedly it is repetitive and there is some daily grinding, but they make it easier as you progress, and all the people in my server are really nice and it creates a relaxing atmosphere. Its a fun game to play if you have the time to waste. You probably wont ever become empress tho lol Edit: I have tried playing many other empress games and always got stuck at some point and couldnt progress because of certain paywalls, which hasnt happened to me yet, so i would recommend this over other similar games.. looking at you revenge of the queen 🙄

My honest review:
I have been playing this game for a little over 5 months now. First of all this game is very engaging, with an interesting story line and plenty to do, with frequent updates and events. The community is great for the most part and you don’t need to feel pressured to spend real life money on this game!. You feel like your making real progress, as levelling up isn’t to quick or too slow. There are only very minor nuances, like: people stealing crops, and occasionally you stumble across a player who’s just irritating but that’s no at all the game’s fault. Overall my experience would be a 5, I’ve really enjoyed this game.
