About
The POCUS Passport is an evidence-based, open access resource to help fast track your personal and departmental credentialing. Take your POCUS Passport with you if you move hospitals or if you are required to show evidence of your POCUS competency to be signed off by a hospital's Emergency Ultrasound Program.
The POCUS Passport includes:
• Minimum image sets for each POCUS module (eFAST, AAA, FELS, Lung and Needle Guidance), with image review criteria for candidates and supervisors
• The required number of logged scans for each module, including positive findings and ongoing maintenance requirements
• A digital logbook to record your scans, have them reviewed by your supervisor, and export your data
• Formative and summative assessment forms
• A certificate template to be signed by your supervisor or ED ultrasound lead once you have met the ACEM requirement for proficiency in a module
Trainees choose their own supervisors, and supervisors only see the scans of trainees who have chosen them. EMUGs is not a credentialing or certification body; credentialing is the responsibility of your hospital.
