About

Emulsion stacks photographs and blends them into something new. Add a photo. Add another on top. Choose how the two mix - Multiply, Screen, Overlay, Difference, Glow and ten more - then adjust, distort and stack until it becomes yours. It is built to be fast. Everything runs on the GPU, so the picture keeps up with your finger instead of catching up after it. No ads, no account, nothing to subscribe to. LAYERS - Stack as many photos as you like - Fourteen blend modes - Per-layer opacity, position, scale and rotation - Pinch to resize a layer, drag to place it, twist to rotate - Reorder, duplicate and merge ADJUSTMENTS - Levels, with a live histogram of the layer you are working on - Curves, with an editor big enough to actually use - Auto-Level, Hue/Saturation, Brightness/Contrast - Posterize, Sepia, Black and White, Invert Colors EFFECTS - Gaussian Blur, Motion Blur, Unfocus - Sharpen and Glow - Emboss, Relief, Edge Detect, Outline - Bulge, Pixelate, Kaleidoscope - Chromatic Aberration, Scanlines, Slice Glitch - Halftone and Dot Screen - Duotone, and Color to Alpha for knocking a colour out of a layer so the layers beneath show through NOTHING IS BAKED IN Adjustments and effects are stored as settings rather than burned into the pixels, so you can change your mind about any of them at any point - including one you applied twenty steps ago. History lets you step back through everything you have done, and you can see the picture while you scrub. FULL RESOLUTION WHEN IT COUNTS Editing runs against a fast preview so it stays responsive on large photos. Saving renders the whole thing again at your photo's true size. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Your photos never leave your device, because Emulsion contains no networking code at all. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is collected, and there is no account to make.
