Love the (e) NMexican

I LOVE The Santa Fe New Mexican for its local and investigative reporting and writers, its excellent photographers, and its editorial choices in presenting a broad, balanced, representative mix of nat/international stories from other media (partic the AP).

I now live out of state and subscribe also to the Wash Post and the NYT but if I could only get one, yours would be my choice for satisfying scope of coverage. I stay in touch with the state reliably with your coverage. You keep me caring.

I find that the e-New Mexican is also much easier and enjoyable to read than other online presentations of print edition. Your pages flip and expand more easily. (Perhaps because I only get the "e-hard copy" and don't check your website) I find my access to news, features, and opinion reliably straightforward whereas the two national papers present (to my mind) a lopsided offering of opinion/analysis embedded within a breaking news and “most-read” stories online format without good connection to various sections (your section offerings I find very satisfying).

Thank you for the thought and hard work/ talent that goes into your daily and much appreciated enterprise. I value you very much.

PLUS Jim Weber is an incredible photographer and I am so grateful to get to see his work.
Thank you for your dedication to what it takes to operate a small newspaper AND make it big league in quality.

Best in the West

The New Mexican is a treasure. Its colossally great reporting and broad coverage make it a rate treasure. Northern Newmexicans are muy fortunate.

Bias

Would like full spectrum of opinions. Frustrating to read The New Mexican.

Wonderful print edition substitute

On phone or tablet, this digital edition of the New Mexican reads like the original. I’ve used it for several years.

Local Coverage

What I like most about the paper is the local news. It is very important for me to feel connected to my community and the paper helps me achieve that.

Great paper for northern New Mexico

We moved to Santa Fe in 2022 and the New Mexican is really the only way to stay informed of all things happening locally.

Audio sucks

Wish you would improve the Audio. I like to listen to the news and that ai voice is terrible.

Great coverage!

This paper gives me so much good information about what’s going on in Santa Fe— in the arts, politics, business, the environment and more. Indispensable and well-written.

Rip off

I have been charged hundreds of dollars for a subscription I have never been able to access. I’ve called for help repeatedly and still can’t get into my account. They are good at taking my money, but terrible when it comes to providing the product I pay for.

Won’t download daily additions without reinstalling the app

I contacted support (circulation) at the New Mexican a few days ago because new editions were not appearing in the app. They advised that I delete and reinstall the app. That worked for the day. For the past 4 days I have had to do this each day to get the daily paper. I hope the “3rd party” who manages the app can provide a solution!

Best source for news in the greater Santa Fe area and all of New Mexico

Locally owned and one of the best local independent newspapers in the country

Excellent Local and National News

We appreciate the reporting of local and national news.

good content; sub-par app functionality

solid regional news reporting; convenient PDF delivery format, reflecting the-paper-as-published … but, account management and customer support functions are limited and *unreliable*, requiring access to the website (independent of the app and not ‘linked’) to actually do much of anything … seems that app is just about collecting money and that users are on-their-own for delivery or account ‘issues’

More bugs

With the March 23 update on (iPad) the page menu at the bottom is blank- no pages shown. And also on iPad, the drop down menu at the upper right hasn’t worked for months. It appears, then instantly disappears.
Please check for proper app functionality on all platforms! Thank you!

First thing every day. My favorite read ✔︎

Gotta stay in touch with the people and place I love. Now this app has made it easier on my iPhone too (but I still love print format on my iPad—so I can read the funnies!) We’ve subscribed for decades. Always will.

Superb! First app every day. ✔︎

Latest update especially nice for iPhone users: easy reading and access. I’m old fashioned: I also like the *print* edition on my iPad. (Gotta have comics!) Nothing like the daily news with a cuppa coffee. First thing every morning. We love hearing from and about our neighbors. Gotta stay in touch. We love you, Santa Fe.

Fix the bugs

New app provides no better experience than the previous. Lots of blank thumbnails. Duplicate issues listed. No good way to manage and delete downloaded issues. The pop up dialog for articles is a bad idea - reader should show articles full screen

Used daily. We count on our daily paper. First app every day!

Nothing like the daily news with a cuppa coffee. First thing every morning, delivered to your doorstop, and we don’t even have to walk out to the end of the driveway! Yeah, half the news we may have seen a day earlier online. But WTH, O? These are neighbors. We love hearing from and about our neighbors. Gotta stay in touch. We love you, Santa Fe.

Best digital

These folks have their digital act totally together. I subscribe to 5 newspapers and the SFNM is by far the best, easy to use, easy to read - actually couldn’t be done any better. Bravo!

New Mexican

E-subscription just stopped working, can no longer log in even though we have paid.
