Really loved using the latest version of this app for my trip to Cambridge last year, highly recommend the AR is fast and superbly executed. Bravo

Lovely looking app. Wish both Orientations worked on all menus. Seems like menus are portrait and the AR viewer landscape.
Biggest issue was it crashed multiple times, first when camera first opens, then when city is placed on table, then when tapping a landmark. Force quit each time it crashed and got a little further. I’m on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch, hope that helps.

Crashes constantly
Keeps crashing when launching the AR. Hopefully this can be fixed as it’s potentially a great app.
Amazing AR
Such a great app and the use of AR is incredible.
Froze on screen one.
Wouldn’t let me go any further than screen one, looks interesting and look forward to trying it again when the bugs are ironed out.
Hangs up on iPad
I made it past the “select an itinerary“ screen but when I tapped on the historic screen, it hung on a screen with the message “Choose a flat surface.”
Crashed straight away!
Difficult to give much of a review, as the app crashes back to the home screen when I tried to look at the City of London section on my iPad.
Never got to try the augmented reality.

Not working very well at all
I’m not sure what the makers of this app were trying to achieve but the result is all very underwhelming. They may want to go back and actually try to achieve what they say in the app they would like to do. When attempting to go into one of the portals for Chester it just didn’t work. On the desk top app you get a simple 3D model effect with a few rather lame explanations about the three things (in the one I tried -Chester) they have to choose from. Is that really all there is? If not then the guidance they provide on how to use the app is entirely useless. Tapping on things produces no response in most cases so you are just left with the feeling that this was a big idea that never actually got off the ground. Which is a shame because they could have made a platform that brings the history of these cities to life in an interactive way but what you get is the tantalising idea that there are interesting things to see and learn but you just can’t get there to see it. A quick dip in Wikipedia gives you more bang for your buck than this.

Phone gets too hot
Interesting concept but I tried one of the “table top tours” and my phone got so hot that I nearly burned my hand. I had to completely switch it off. Also the whole AI seemed a bit pointless for the table top tour where all you get when clicking on selected buildings is a bog standard audio stop and a label with writing that is too small to read. Might be more interesting in situ but the phone overheating means I probably won’t try it when out and about.

Great Concept, But...
I can’t get passed the “choose your city” page, and those cities are not labeled, so I’m only sure of London and maybe Bath? Surely Oxford should be included? Wanted to use this; it looks great, but it’s not opening on my iPhone.
Could be more user-friendly
The app doesn't properly explain how to use the augmented reality part, so I found myself randomly tapping different areas to see if anything worked. Nothing I tried actually did. Disappointed.
Not what I expected
Tried it at the Fitzwilliam in Cambridge.
There were very few items (8-10) covered by the map.
Locating them wasn't very easy and the information provided by the map, wasn't much more than what was already on the label.
Couldn't see any visible advantage in the app. The Fitzwilliam museum app works much better.

Lovely looking app!
Really informative, slick user experience and learnt so much about England's Historic Cities! The way the camera is used to show extra content is amazing. Anyone looking to learn about historic cities in England should definitely download this app.
