Artificial Intelligence?

I have changed my mind about EH Editor. The key is to let the AI do its work instead of bypassing it. Having accepted its closest suggestion to what you wanted, you can then revise it easily until you are satisfied. The editing tools still need a bit of polishing, but other than that, it’s okay.

Artificial Intelligence?

I bought this because support for the original (and excellent) Hemingway is ending. It still points out shortcomings in my writing, which is fine, but it wants me to use their AI suggestions as replacements for my weaker passages. These suggestions may be acceptable in correspondence, but in a novel? Not a chance. Even worse, they have made it very difficult to edit manually. Please reintroduce the manual editing features and give us the option of turning the AI off. It is not good enough.

Not actually free

It won't do anything without just saying "Pay $30 a month to actually use this app at all" imposible to minover other wise and over al, just really a mean app. I mean just put on the price tag on the app store!

AI not welcomed!

The AI feature added has been nothing but a thorn. Use of it is 50-50 with its response to written text. Support’s no response, as to how to disable the feature, furthers my dissatisfaction and frustration. I’m resorting to other software used previously to this version. Will not recommend to anyone to purchase this product. Stay away!!

Sorry to hear this has been frustrating. The AI feature is optional and the app works normally without it, but it may not behave consistently in every case. Please email us at "help@englisheditorapp.com" and we’ll quickly help you disable it and get things working smoothly.

Not worth the money...

I am not quite sure what to do with an app that points out writing faults without offering remedial writing actions. I still had to use GRAMMARLY to fix the mistakes....

Nothing is free

I was told the app is free but website is paid. You don’t even get a chance to try the app before you pay!

There's no way to try it out

I would love to use it or consider buying the pro mode... But the paywall shows as soon as I click the text window.

Undo

I like the app, I’m pleased with the whole app but one think I hate how I can’t undo, like when you accidentally deleted something. And all you want to do it undo it so you can get it back. Yeah, accidentally deleted all my work, though I save it and then accidentally deleted it.

Just sell the app for 16 bucks

I downloaded it thinking it was free for the basic features, but you literally cant do ANYTHING unless you pay for the subscription. At least clearly advertise you cant use it without the in app subscription, before people download it and waste their time. I’m just disappointed because the website is free, but frequently deletes all my progress because there is no way to save.

Now an unsuable nightmare of an app

The sentence shortener has now made this tool a total nightmare. I have a piece of copy in front of me that I know needs a lot of work but I cannot click into a part of a sentence that I intend to edit without triggering the sentence shortner. It's like playing a game of whack-a-mole as I click into different parts of the document.

There's so much to edit in this piece of copy that the constant interruption from the sentence shortner means this tool is now utterly useless.

Please for goodness sake let me dismiss all suggestions and let me get on with my job of editing.

A real waste of money. Look at PaperEdit and Prowriting Aid instead. For me this earned one star and no more.

Works ok

The app is memory hungry. You need at least 16GB of RAM. I have only 8 GB of RAM. You have to work on your document in sections or chapters. Otherwise, the app gets bogged down. As a technical writer I find this app helpful.

Uhm, so your app seems more geared towards news articles—and that’s great, don’t get me wrong, presenting stuff such as wars are very difficult to do and disclose very important information to the public so it’s great to have stuff like that. Just . . . as an author, it’s not as good. I was wondering if maybe the title thing could sorta flip-flop between story and news, perhaps? Also, the third-grade reading level offends me T^T (I’m half-teasing). It’s nice to know that nine-year-old’s would be able to understand it though. I was also wondering if it could be possible to have more than one document at once; and if mayhaps it’d be possible for the font to contrast more with the background, as it makes the scene more difficult to read. Other than that, I absolutely adore the app. I hope that whoever’s tasked to read this has a great day/night and can get a raise for dealing with Karens’ like me.

Also, I don’t mean to be rude, but it seems that there are other apps that do similar things for free, and I was wondering if it was said in the synopsis of the app that this isn’t, because if it is, then I certainly missed it.
