New ios problems
Good content but audio unreliable with new ios. The app developers are always slow to fix issues with ios changes - pity because the definitions and audio are fine, when they work.
Value for Money
A straightforward, basic dictionary of high quality for beginning/intermediate students. All verbs are fully conjugated in all tenses and moods. High quality audio pronunciations by a native speaker are available not just for the headwords, but for all of the numerous phrases/sentences given as examples. This is a very useful feature for learners.
Finally, the low price is very reasonable for a work of this quality.

Very old bad app
It doesnt work with ios 7,8,9!!!please update it
Don't waste your money
What a disappointing piece of garbage! I get error messages as often (or more) as I do definitions. It freezes a lot and tells me that even relatively common words don't exist in the dictionary. (This is with wifi — it's not a connectivity issue.) Google Translate works better, for heaven's sake. This is the first app I've bought that has made me feel genuinely ripped off. I wish I could get a refund. I'm surprised such a respectable name is associated with this.

Great daily aid to my German learning and likewise for my German friends english speaking. Was also a great accompaniment to German lessons. Waiting for IOS 8 bug fixes as the search facility is not functioning well....

Very disappointed with this app. I have been using the French version for several years with no problems. As mentioned by other reviewers, you can search once but then it doesn't work. A waste of money.
Needs an Upgrade for iOS7
I have the three main Larousse Dictionaries for iPhone: French, Spanish, and German, and all worked great before iOS7 came along. Once I upgraded to iOS7, the French and Spanish dictionaries worked fine, but the German is almost non-functional. The search section goes away for no reason and you can't look anything up. I hope they upgrade it soon, because I need it in my work.

Used to work well, but stopped under latest OS on iPad
Still not working under iOS 7. Not been updated and fixed for a long time now. To use on iOS7 you need to come completely out of the App and start again. Crazy. Under the latest OS the search function only works once. When you have looked at a word, the search screen never returns. It was great, but now you have to clear the app from memory and restart for each new word. Needs an update!

This Larousse dictionary is broken
I own 3 iPhone Larousse translation Dictionaries: English/French, English/Spanish and English/German.
The 1st 2 dictionaries work OK, but the English/German Dictionary is broken.
The English/German Dictionary only allows 1 word search.
After making a 1 word search i cannot search the next word.
The text box is missing??? and the keyboard input is also missing.
Given that the app is the same look and feel as the French & Spanish dictionaries it should be an easy job to fix the broken code.
DONT BUY THIS APP UNTIL ITS FIXED!

Doesn't work with iOS7
Needs an update. Users can only search for one word before search function no longer works.

If I could give negative stars for lack of maintenance I'd give it TEN stars. I can't believe Larousse still has NOT updated this app to function with ios7. Before the lack of maintenance this was a fabulous app. I used to use it in German class all the time. But having to restart the app every time I want to look up a word does not make it conducive to use.
If they ever update it I'll go back and change to 5 stars.

Usually a great app but now...
I read the other reviews and will complain as well because this app needs to get updated and fixed ASAP. For an app that cost me $6, I expect more than what I'm getting. Just like the other reviewers said, the new iOS 7 makes the app function incorrectly; every time you need to look up a word you have to close the app and reopen it because the field and keypad disappear after you look up the word. This isn't the case with the other language dictionaries, I have the French Spanish French English English Spanish dictionaries and they all work fine on the iOS 7. Please fix!!!!!

Does not work
The app does not work with iOS 7 you can check one word and then it freezes. Would give it minus stars but unable to do so. Very sad bought in good faith having to rely on other apps.

Please update the app. I have a serious problem with the app after updating to ios7. When i search a word the keyboard disappears and i have to reopen it all over again.
