This is by far the best dictionario por Español y Inglis. I'm just starting out learning Español and is a tool I rely on hourly. I can sort words into personalized categories and then use the flash card feature to quiz myself in each category. It would be helpful if one could make subcategories and be able to add your own words. That aside, this dictionary is worth the $$$!

No sound no matter what I do
No sound for a long time and this morning they was suddenly sound. I had almost deleted the App after trying many time to fix the problem. Somehow it fixed itself and I love this dictionary.
The best
I had to learn Spanish to study full time in a Spanish speaking country. Life would have been so much harder without this app. It’s just amazing. It’s so simple to use. It’s so thorough. And the layout of the conjugations for the verbs is just superb. I paid for the medical add on. I’ve never had any regrets with this app.

Good and bad
Probably not the best for beginning or intermediate Spanish learners. Probably thorough for accomplished Spanish speakers. The amount of data is immense. The arrangement is a visual nightmare. Finding what you want is unlikely. But everything is there if you can make sense of the mess.
Audio
I just purchased the General English Spanish app, but the audio does not work. I’ve looked in settings etc. And can’t find a fix. It’s of no use without the audio function.
A most excellent app!
This is one of the apps I use frequently, since I do a fair amount of translations and I find it extremely helpful and accurate. Highly recommend!!!

Derogatory towards females
I used to like this application very much and used it exclusively for my Spanish class. However, I’m noticing more and more examples of word usage sentences that are derogatory and negatively biased towards females. They are insulting and leave me feeling angry towards the writers. I’m looking for another application instead of this one.

Impressive
I got this because my son is in a dual immersion program. Now I use it for myself even for standard dictionary lookups. The audio is nice for the translation pronunciation and also for explaining words to my son (he hears the English explanation sentence then the same explanation sentence in Spanish). Well made.

Most Comprehensive Spanish English Dictionary
I have 5 or 6 Spanish / English dictionaries that I use and my word Magic dictionary is better than all of them. I have the Collins, Oxford, and Berlitz Spanish dictionaries and none of them are as good as this one. I read a Spanish Bible everyday using the Olive Tree Bible app and when I click on a word it will bring up the Apple built in dictionary which habitually gives some minor definition of the word and omits the major one. Then I look up the definition in Word Magic and it gives me all of the meanings. Many times I can't find a word in my other dictionaries but it is in Word Magic. l only wish there was a way in IOS to make Word Magic my default Spanish / English dictionary instead of the one they use.

Excellent app
I purchased this a couple of years ago while learning Spanish and still use it nearly every day. It’s well organized, responsive, and works well. It can be particularly handy at times since it works offline.

This app is awesome! I use it every single day and I dare say I have never had to access another dictionary or search for a word online!
My Spanish is rather advanced and STILL there is never a need for another app! I purchased a couple of other Spanish Dictionaries and wound up just deleting them!

I use to spend summers studying in Mexico. I'd lug about twenty books with me- five or six of them dictionaries, one little one always in my purse. Now there'd be no need. I could just whip out this app on my tiny computer- my iPod.
I would love if they added word games. That would make this already indispensable app even better!
I don’t recall what I paid for this app but I’d certainly be willing to pay $5 or so for a fun upgrade. What do you think? 😉
I also recommend their Spanish Slang dictionary. Especially when I first learned Spanish learning the slang and the naughty words was no easy feat. You don’t want to mess them up because you sound rather foolish. And even if you don’t use them, it certainly can help to recognize them. I finally found a useful book but the Spanish Slang book is far, far better!
I just purchased the slang app, in part to support this developer, and if you love 💕 Spanish like I do, you can spend hours playing with it.
Oh, and a book of Spanish Idioms would be priceless as these developers are that good!
In the interim, just go ahead and buy this app– you certainly won’t regret it!
