Inconsistent stay and impossible customer service.
I have done multiple Enkostay rentals and the service of booking and the ease of finding is good. However, the one rental I did was full of cockroaches, an abnormal amount and I needed assistance with changing the rental. I had booked a long time in advance without knowing of the problem, so when I moved here to find it, there were a lot of barriers to fix the problem. If I cancel the rental where else can I go? Most everything else is booked, there is 0 support for help with finding another accommodation and they’ll just throw you on the street. It is also impossible to contact Enkostay directly for assistance and they’ll only make you do everything through the host, which sometimes is not good. Also if you have a bad stay and you cancel the contract by any means, because you cancel the contract and don’t finish the stay, you cannot write a review to warn other people, so all of the reviews for rentals will look like good reviews. Most hosts have multiple properties so if they have good and bad property it’ll look like they only have good reviews while some rentals are still sketchy and bookings should be careful. Use this app with extreme caution. Hosts have always been very helpful and try to assist and fix problems in anyway they can, but enkostay itself does not contact you directly and is hard to get help from if you get stuck and need support. The only person who helped me was whoever manages the social media on Instagram. I’m thankful but that should not be the person to receive help from, a social media worker. Also, after all this they only offer 20% off enkostay fee to help which is only like 10,000-20,000 won. Not very helpful.

Seamless process!
I used Enkostay to book a place for my month-long stay in Korea and had a great experience. The booking process was smooth and hassle-free.
The map feature was incredibly helpful—it shows key subway stations and universities, so it was easy to compare locations and choose the right place quickly.
It was also more affordable than Airbnb, and I felt like I got great value for the price.
Would definitely recommend Enkostay to anyone planning a short- or mid-term stay in Korea!

Lots of affordable listings!
I had a great experience with enkostay. It did have a lot more affordable options compared to Airbnb for long-term stays so I stayed in Seoul for 3 months, and I ended up with a great host who was very responsive of my asks! The heating needed repair but she was quick in sending the repairman so it was resolved within a day. Loved it!

Horrible - use a different platform
they don’t vet units. They allow double bookings and offer zero or no resolution. Chargeback with your financial institution is the only path of resolution. Half the units are fake listings or duplicated listings from other platforms at lower rates. Stay away!

Hosts are also required to provide accurate listing information, and violations are subject to removal. Just use Airbnb
Don’t expect to get support if there are issues. Could not reliably reach my host OR enkostay. Had questions and issues when checking in. No response from either. No hot water in shower, no response from either for over a week. Was not resolved within the two weeks I was there.

This company is a complete scam. They do not properly vet properties before listing them on the site, and when issues come up, they make you jump through endless hoops. Instead of helping, they push you to deal with the host directly or force you to pay penalties. It’s clear they only care about collecting money, not about customer satisfaction.
Do yourself a favor and stick with Airbnb or another reputable platform. If you absolutely must use this service, triple-check the property in person before signing any contract. I deeply regret ever using this app—it has been nothing but stress and frustration. If I could give zero stars, I would.
