What's New in eOceanic

1.1.0

February 26, 2026

* Planning mode: To reduce power consumption when planning journeys, but not actually navigating, we've introduced a new 'planning mode' option in Settings. This disables the device's GPS, and stops background position monitoring, to keep battery usage low when this functionality isn't needed.

User reviews

Misleading

Be careful. You cannot do anything without subscribing (currently £49.99). This is despite references to “free access”. It is, indeed, too good to be true.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you felt mislead, this definitely wasn't our intention. We make all of our information available for free on our website, but the app, which provides offline access to this data and a host of advanced tools, is a subscription service. I can see how this wasn't clear through the app store description, so I'll do my best to improve that description with the next release.
