I miss when
Golden Buffs are very special, but atleast it’s something manageable, now every mystic characters has golden buffs that’ll make them super unstoppable now combined it with RnL which is the most overtuned unit in the entire Gacha industry, imagine having a golden buff that makes it impossible to be sealed now combined it with dodge so it counters many characters that could counter it then give it the most base speed in the game, now give it a passive that benefits from having so much speed so it can be a nuke and a heavy controller character. I used to glaze this game but with introduction with Golden Buffs, it cancels out so many fun things about this game, loved how there are many things to build in this game but only few of them are relevant enough to be playable. Now I’am very wcared about the future of this game now that RnL and Lisette are introduced. More Characters in this game will be added in this game are either going to be fun/unique but not meta enough to be useful so no one will use them or boring/Meta defying mechanics who exists to be just steamrolling anyone.

Stay away from this game
I made my account day 1 of this game back in 2018. In 2021 I quit because the devs refuse to nerf characters. Came back in 2025 because I heard they made a lot of good changes but lo and behold the balance of the game is still dog water. The devs only care about making money and this game is a miserable experience do not waste your time.

"Connection to server has been lost" has been happening for a week now. Other games working perfectly normal. Happens on when on mobile data and PC as well.

The summon system in Epic Seven is honestly one of the most frustrating systems I’ve experienced in a game.
The rare summon currency takes an absurd amount of time to accumulate. As a free-to-play player, you’re potentially looking at 3–4+ months of saving just to have enough resources for a serious attempt at a banner. And somehow, many of the characters people actually want are placed behind this painfully slow system.
Imagine playing consistently for months, saving everything you earn, and still feeling like you can’t realistically summon the characters you want. That’s not rewarding progression — that’s exhausting.
The game itself has great graphics, combat and characters, which makes the monetization even more disappointing. There are plenty of ways to make money from a game without making free-to-play players feel like they’re being punished for not spending.
Epic Seven desperately needs a better way to earn the rare summon currency and a more reasonable summon system. Until then, the gacha system is a huge reason I can’t recommend this game.

I miss the map
Frankly I love this game, however returning to it made me feel sad. When they removed the overworld doing story now feels boring and dull. I don’t want to look at a static screen with an image, I want the cool overworld that made me feel more immersed, I feel sad that it’s gone and that one of the most memorable aspects of the game imo has been discarded.

Sad Digression
The current state of Epic Seven is disheartening and disappointing. The reliance on gear farming and praying to the RNG gods has only gotten worse. With every new character requiring 300 or more speed, the odds of rolling gear with those stats feel almost impossible. In five-plus years of playing, I only have one character with close to 300 speed.
Character drop rates feel like they've worsened, and when you finally receive a custom unit selector ticket, the restrictions on available characters straight-up suck. They suck even more for veteran players who already own most—if not all—of the current roster and have their units SSS-imprinted.
Core modes like Guild War and Arena are constantly placed under maintenance, interrupting daily gameplay and ongoing events. New side stories are becoming entirely RNG-focused and simply aren't worth investing time into—the chances of collecting all the rewards from the latest side story were slim to none because of the brutal RNG mechanics.
The game has become increasingly whale-dominated, and with every new character released in a busted state, PvP modes are completely unbalanced. To top it off, the current anniversary event is awful—it has been plagued with bugs that leave major parts of the content completely unplayable.

If your returning it’s ok ; if you’re new might want to avoid .They keep ruining units to try and force players into PvP (Lilias) or just nerf them to be useless to push new units (Chloe;Tywin) and then they made it harder to max a unit to force you to buy things with real money (dogs were better than flowers by far flowers are just a resource sink) and not to Metin they keep forcing us to do annoying mazes that make you take more damage while removing the only way to rest in them, literally just made it more annoying and nothing else. And they even have a map with THREE in a row!!!

I love this game so much!
Thank you for this amazing anniversary, Smilegate although I have some constructive criticism to share, I feel like it’s not too important. I just wanted to say thank you because I appreciate this game as it’s so fun! Let’s have an Infinity Day!
Expensive
The items are ridiculously expensive. I actually want to spend money to support the game, but the prices are way too high.
Unplayable State
Since 8 Anniv update game has been unplayable. Connection errors, game crashing, error “402” when playing the new game mode which gives you an instant loss.
