Tried a few apps now MSW has gone but this was definitely the best in my opinion. Elegant layout, informative without being cluttered.
Giant ad - Unusable
They put an ad in the middle of the entire screen that I can't dismiss (button doesn't close it).
So... after many years I can't use it anymore.
It's a friggen UI on top of NOAA - I wish these greedy surf app devs would realize they offer very little value. Make it free with no ads.

Requires location data
I’m sure the app is great but it requires location data to be enabled to use. I don’t want to share this with a random developer, I just want to search for spots I know and view the forecast.

Seems to be way more accurate than Surfline. I appreciate this free awesome app!
Couldn’t pull forecast.
Got the paid version. It shows me no data… .. If it did what it said it does .. I live in Cape Town, and it couldn’t give me any forecast information on any of the spots.

Stuck on Define your experience page
Couldn’t get past setup. Stuck on define experience page. Option to try premium for free or stay in free plan with options to enable ad tracking and google ads which doesn’t tick when you select and leaves the done button to proceed greyed out.

no other surf & forecast app compares to EPIC, the level of attention to design is amazing and it's so easy to use
My trusted fishing companion
This has become indispensable for surf fishing. Beforehand, I can figure the best day and time to hit the beach, and figure out what tackle to bring. It makes surf fishing much less of a hit or miss experience. Also lets me know when the wave energy can be too risky for fishing.

Easy
Very easy to use for a surf check
Inaccurate
Very inaccurate, like not even close to what the surf and water temp is. The water is never 85 in San Diego. It also said 4 ft waves and it’s been 1-3 here all week. Wasted my money on this one.
Only what you need
Love the sleekness and simplicity of Epic - simple swell and wind data, and you can make up your own mind about the quality of the conditions! So good.
