About

One quote a day. Nothing more. Epigraph sends you a single thought each day, at a time you choose. Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus, Confucius, Lao Tzu, Rumi, Emerson, Thoreau, Nietzsche, Dickinson — sentences that have outlived everyone who doubted them. No endless feed. No scrolling. One notification, one sentence, then you put the phone down. HOW IT WORKS The first time you open the app you are asked two things: what time you would like your quote, and which language you read in. That is all. No sign-up, no account, no further questions. Each day's quote is derived from the date, so the quote in your notification and the quote in the app are always the same one. Same day, same quote, for everyone. CARD STUDIO You do not just read the quote, you give it a shape. In the studio you choose the background, the typeface, the alignment, the text size, the text colour and the output size; you see the card live at the resolution it will be exported at; then you save it to your photo library or share it. Name a set of settings, keep it as a template, and apply it to tomorrow's quote with one tap. Designing costs nothing: six backgrounds, three typefaces, three output sizes (square, portrait, story), saving to the photo library and one saved template are all in the free version. WHAT IS INSIDE • Card studio — turns a quote into an image you designed, and writes the file to your device. • 1066 quotes — 533 in English, 533 in Turkish. The two archives are not translations of each other; each language draws on its own sources. • Public-domain sources only: the Stoics (Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus), classical Greece (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Heraclitus), Eastern wisdom (Rumi, Confucius, Lao Tzu, Buddha, Saadi, the Bhagavad Gita), English letters (Shakespeare, Milton, Wordsworth, Tennyson, Dickinson, Thoreau, Whitman) and nineteenth-century thinkers (Nietzsche, Emerson, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky). • Each screen shows the date, the author and, where known, the work it comes from. • Change your notification time whenever you like. • Share a quote you like with one tap, or open it in the card studio. • Dark and light themes follow your device setting. PRICE AND ADS • No subscription — a single one-time purchase, and it removes the ads for good. • The free version shows a banner at the bottom of some screens and a full-screen ad now and then. The daily quote, the full archive and its search, categories, past days, favourites, sharing and the light/dark theme are free; colour palettes, typefaces, the widget, multiple reminders, your own quotes and AD-FREE USE unlock with a one-time lifetime purchase. The card studio works on its own in the free tier as well; the purchase only adds variety (more backgrounds and typefaces, unlimited templates, a photo background, a wallpaper size, output without the small signature). • No account, no registration, no e-mail address requested. • The archive is offline. Reading, searching and notifications need no internet; only the ads require a connection. • We never ask you for information. Your chosen time and language stay on your device. Ads are requested as non-personalised — chosen by context, not by who you are. The only permission the app requests is notifications, needed to show your quote at the hour you picked. Decline it and the app still works; you simply get no reminder. WHO IT IS FOR People who want one sentence to think about with their morning coffee; people tired of infinite feeds; people looking for a small, regular door into philosophy; people who keep a commonplace book. One sentence a day. Three hundred and sixty-five a year.
