A Pleasant Surprise
This app really surprised me. I have used pretty much every mainstream mail app available for Mac. The first thing that took me by surprise was how effortlessly it set up all my email accounts. I have three business emails, plus my personal email. My personal one is obviously via iCloud. But my others are all tied to my business websites. I won’t name names, but there is one popular email app that I consistently had trouble with getting it to set up these accounts. They are IMAP accounts, but I always got a connect error. With Epistle I had no issues at all. It instantly accepted my account info for each and set them up. When I downloaded the mobile version of the app, it quickly transferred those accounts to my iPad and iPhone. I realize there is a review from a user who had IMAP issues. All I can tell you is that I did not and it actually went very well. I also like the clean look and the bit of color in its design. It also grabbed all the proper sender images and icons with no prompting or tweaking from me. All and all … I am quite happy at the moment. Different people can have different experiences. I say give it a try and see what your’s is.

Needs better support for IMAP
The standard for ISP email is IMAP. And yet it can’t manage to figure out the certificates of my IMAP server automatically. Spark is automatic, Thunderbird is too. I’m just looking for something with the speed of Spark, but the flexibility of.understanding folders of Thunderbird.
A lot of potential
This app has a lot of potential to be a game changer for my daily life. Initially, I started playing around with it and saw what I felt were basic mail client features were lacking that I needed to even consider using this app long term.
I opened a few tickets providing this feedback, they responded to my tickets within the hour and shipped the features within 24 hours.
The app is still new, but the engagement from the dev’s and willingness to evolve and adapt is what sets them apart.

Not Ready for Prime Time
Based on the initial comments and feedback, I downloaded the Epistles app and purchased the lifetime subscription for $79 (Berean 54). I regret having made that decision and I have requested a refund for the subscription.
The app has several functional and aesthetic features that simply don’t meet the standard for an email client.
The contact information is incomplete for all my 1800+ contacts. In comparing my iCloud contacts to what is in Epistles, there are several pieces of information missing. These included email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, dates, etc.
I have three accounts in Epistles (outlook, iCloud and google) and the only calendar that shows is google.
Titles of the different functional areas (e.g., Mail, Calendar, and Contacts) all have periods at the end of the word. That is not grammatically correct.
There are several other nuances that make the app feel clunky and disjointed.
I respectfully request that my request for a refund be processed.

So far so good!
Been testing this out since the beta stages and glad to see the hourly and daily updates that the developer have done with the app! Looks to be extremely promising of a Spark replacement for me. Been loving it on MacOS and iOS the past few weeks. The developer is very active on Reddit and taking constant feedback from users and fixing everything as fast as possible which is such a refreshing thing to see. Keep up the great work! I know you guys will address any issue that we send to you!
