Only Stereo Audio (on TV & iPhone/iPad)
Even for the show Belgravia, which is advertised in app, as 4K with 5.1 sound, it only plays it in 2 channel stereo. It’s 4K but only SDR.
The content here lacks HDR entirely and plays movies like Maverick in 60fps, while Belgravia plays in 24fps, which proves the app is capable of delivering content as the creators intended. The decision to limit the audio and video quality has been made by EPIX/MGM and is not a limitation of the app or devices.
I won’t pay for streaming services that don’t at least offer recent movies in HDR & Atmos. That’s just standard fare in 2023.

Epic EPIX
I primarily use the app for new movies and I’m very satisfied with the selection. That makes it easy to select and save films that I want to watch. It’s a great app and I highly recommend it.
Epix APP Ruined
Epix/MGM+ has ruined the use of the Epix App thru TV provider Verizon for Iphone. It does all the steps and when you try to complete the sign in it will not do it. I have tried to work with Epix customer service and they give you the run around blaming Verizon when all the sign in with other apps work fine. It is a shame this was one the best streaming apps in the market and now it does not work.

Logs me out almost every day
Works fine. A bit clunky on my fire cube with favorites and suggestions. I watch mostly on my IPad and every day it forces me to log back in through xfinity. None of my other apps do this.

Where’s the 4K?
I am going to watching season 3 of War of the Worlds and the place card for the show says it’s in 4K Ultra HD. Yeah, when I play the show on my Apple TV 4K, it is being shown in SDR only. For a streaming service it was on by a major movie studio, this is embarrassing. Please get this fixed so that we can enjoy the shows that are supposed to be in 4K, in 4K.

App is super non responsive for downloads on iphone
Getting very frustrated with this app. Doesn’t seem to want to download and then after two tries you get a message that says “sorry can’t download this title more than twice”. It would be good if it actually downloaded one time.
Endless loop trying to log on
I’m a subscriber through Verizon FIOS. After going through the screens to create an account the link that is sent to my email is always expired.
I’ve tried to activate in the past and it seems to recognize that.
When you try to submit a question on how to proceed you get stuck in an endless loop on clicking on captcha pictures.
Why is this so hard??? I haven’t ever gotten this work

Need more good movies and shows.
Just not enough movies and shows. And not even good old movies , like the shepherd with Jean Claude vanndamme. It’s a great app, but if people’s paying for it they need to have good decent movies and shows.
Difference in apps ?
In the apple App Store there’s a couple apps. I have the streaming one where I am signed in and that’s what is installed. Is there a difference I should know about in the EPIX “on demand app” ?
Can’t log in
Tried repeatedly to log in. It accepts my cable provider, my user name and password, and everything looks fine. But when I do anything it kicks me right back to log in. Tried reinstalling and that didn’t help. Just tried today and the same problem.
Updated: TV logins are STILL NOT WORKING!!!!

There have been 2 updates since my review and still I am unable to login with my FuboTV credentials. I used to be able to, but not for the last 2 months. This is not just towards Fubo, other people say that they are having the problem with DirecTV, DishNetwork, etc. It is pathetic that EPIX has not fixed this. When you try to login, you get an error message that says:
{"message":"There was a problem parsing the response from our partner, please try again."}
It sure would be nice if they cared at all to fix this, instead of doing nothing about it!

Broken Playback
Some videos (Britannia for example) will not play on current iOS builds on either iPad or iPhone. Others will. Stream just sits there and spins after the epic logo clip. Broken release. Tried to report through support but the captcha on the support page is broken on Safari as well.
Barely worth the Effort
I really dislike the app, to the point when I pretty much ignore it. First issue is the frequent and cumbersome log in to verify my provider. Second issue is that choosing something to watch is so frustrating. The Coming section needs a visible date when the item will be viewable and most important DON’T include it in the lists by category until it can actually be watched. Nothing more annoying that finding something to watch only to see that it won’t be available for days or weeks. I get disgusted at this point and go to other streaming services.

History and lack of timeline or progress bar
There’s no progress bar for series shows watched and no indication which episodes was watched last from a series. The history tab mixes everything watched so that’s useless for using it as a timeline or progress bar.
Variety
I absolutely love the mix of old and new movies and everything in between. You can always find something to watch on EPIX.
The Series and movies are outstanding
I am hooked on the original content, the series, and the movies are always entertaining. This is my favorite app.
Just an OK App
Having to log back into my provider daily is very annoying especially when it stops what your watching to make you sign in. It does not maintain what your watching. I have to keep moving the bar to where I was when I stop watching something and come back to it. I also have to try and remember what episode or movie I was watching as there is no spot that shows what you were watching to continue the same episode or movie Ike everyone else has with their app.

Thanks to the developers it is user friendly with NO glitches. THAT in itself is unusual nowadays. I RARELY if ever review apps but this one is WORTH a review. useless for downloads
The only reason I use this app is to download movies to watch offline. Recently this hasn’t worked at all. I try to download a movie and it never completes, so I cancel the download and try again. Then I get an error that a movie can only be downloaded twice and to try another movie. Restarting my device, un/re-installing the app, nothing works. So now this app is totally useless.
