Nickel and dime
I just found out inadvertently while I was using the medication interaction feature that it now limits you to a few “free checks” a day to try to strong arm you into an upgrade. Well based on principle alone I’ll purchase another product that doesn’t bank on the fact that when you need information in the moment (and can’t access it) you’ll pay for the upgrade to avoid the hassle of looking it up elsewhere. Terrible way to do business!

Used to be great.
Loved this app back in the day. Had it for 5ish years. Now you can only look at a couple things before you get hit with “You’ve reached your free views for the week!”
Absolutely terrible direction that the app is going in. I’m not paying for the subscription so I’m just deleting it and looking for alternatives.
Thanks for the years, but now it’s time to move on.

“Free views” is like 1
This used to be amazing and so helpful but since it now won’t allow you to see more than 1 medication weekly it’s horrible. And honestly this seems like a really bad call when open evidence is free and has way more info. Guess I’ll use that exclusively.
Was good
Was good until the increase in garbage pharma ads. Would be nice to have a legitimate medical resource not influenced by pharma. The ads are annoying and intrusive.
After 10 + years now costs $!
I have loved this app for so long. I used to use it multiple times a day every day. Introduction of ads was fine. I understand nothing is free, but the price for a subscription now is really high. It makes me sad.

I downloaded this because I wanted to verify, with their pictures capabilities, what a pill is and for that I have.
This must be an app they promote to the medical profession because they wanted to know my profession and so on.
Getting past that and the next part was pay for a month or a year. Nothing less. Nowhere was there a chance to skip this.

Crippled
I’m a longtime user of Epocrates. It has been getting progressively worse, first with annoying splash screens, but now I’m unable to look up adverse reactions (I’m directed to pay for service). I’ll be removing this app if it remains nonfunctional after the next update. If I’m going to pay for a drug reference, I’ll choose a better one.

Ruined by paywalls
DailyMed doesn’t have an app, but doesn’t want to bleed you dry.
It a six shooter
I downloaded the app, researched six medication’s, then it states that I reached my limit. I guess I have to wait for some unknown amount of time to be able to use the app again. Don’t waste your time, find something else. Or pay.
Used to be my go to App
While I don’t mind paying for an app, I will not pay $25 a month for something that has been free for years. Thankfully I have found other apps with the same information that remain free.
Junk now
They just put all the med info that was free for decades behind a subscription. This was my and many other clinician's first choice in med and interaction lookup and now the greedy devs want $15 a month and up just to see the basic info we've always had access to. Don't even bother downloading.
Absolute greed!
They couldn’t make anyone pay further paid options within the app so now they no longer offer free med lookup to help patients. An absolute travesty to medicine.
Nearly useless
For many years this app has been helpful with adult and pediatric doses and indications for all prescription drugs. They just introduced a pay wall and now if you look up more than 2 things per day, a pay wall comes requiring $14.99 per month or $179 per year for access. The app is overrun with ads but even with that they demand a very high price for an app that has been ad-supported for over 10 years. If I could give zero stars, I would. Terrible change, but they still are collecting all the ad revenues while alienating all their loyal customers.

Was Free, Now Paid
I am a physician who has been using this app for years. Have loved the app and recommended it to other physicians, mid levels, med students, etc. I use it daily to check dosages or interactions. Randomly hit the free limit today and was shocked. Not only is the price expensive, when I can use an alternative or what I have through my institution but the lack of notification or grandfathering in of long term users makes me not want to use this company any longer. Time to delete the app.

Don't upgrade!
The new version forces add upon you when you start the app. Of course no warning about this in the release notes. I'm looking for ways to downgrade
Edit: now there is an unknown limited number of views before you get paywalled. Regret updating the app as of course these greedy changes are never disclosed in the changelog. The app was barely worth using as it became bloated, buggy and full of forced click ads.

Greedy Owners
I have been using this app 2009 and all of a sudden they decided they don’t care about their users and just want to increase revenue stream. They were making more than enough money with all the advertisements they had plastered over the app and now they hide life saving information behind the paywallI. INEXCUSABLE.

I have used this app since it started, even paid when a young physician for the “5 minute clinical consult”
On free version I am blocked from using the medication module. I have not opened the app since I got the pop up to pay and will be deleting the app. Do they still print pharmacopeia booklet?!?

No longer free
I’ve been using this app for at least 15 years. Now there is basically no free version. It keeps saying “You’ve reached your free views for the day” even though I haven’t used it today. It’s said that 3 days in a row. Now they want $25/month for what use to be a free service. It’s a great app but not worse $25/m.

Now a subscription?!
Have been using it for years. Now suddenly, it’s a subscription without free tier. I instantly erased the app! What a shame. New management got too greedy?Will be using PDR instead
They are deleting bad reviews
This app used to be the go to with so many clinicians. They pumped it full of advertising to the point where it would crash randomly, but it was still useful so we kept using it. Now they have added a paywall you get to look up a couple things and then you’re locked out. Absolutely insane considering way better services exist. I cannot recommend avoiding this app more.
