Excellent app for a knowledgeable horseman
I really don’t understand the reviews that say “not enough data.” Why would you want preprogrammed feed information when it changes over time, even in an established product, and it is really easy to get a feed tag from your current feed and look up the averages based on the type of forage you are using from the NRC database if it isn’t provided for you from your dealer. It’s a great app, especially in comparison to the other options out there that charge a ridiculous amount simply because they have a database of outdated feed tags and supplements (why would you trust those when it can change at any time, so you need to check your product anyway)?
App does not work

Feeds not on the list
I use benchmark feeds and Mitavite feeds. These are not on your list in the app. And it’s no point adding it as your list of nutrient does not contain everything also. Wasted my $

Thank you for your feedback. In order to keep the app reasonably priced I haven’t spent a long time adding all possible feeds. We have users in many different countries and it isn’t feasible. I’m happy to add feeds for you if you contact me enc@horsebytes.ca The nutrient list is quite comprehensive and based on the “Nutrient Requirements of Horses” research book. Many feed companies provide slightly different information. It looks like the Mitavite feeds split the carbs out into starch, wsc and esc. We don’t see that much here in North America. Looks like all of these things add up to total NSC so that’s what I would enter them as. Hope that helps
Very Helpful Nutritional Insight
fine tuning a horse’s feed plan. Well worth the app price.

Thank you for your feedback. In order to keep the app reasonably priced I haven’t spent a long time adding all possible feeds. We have users in many different countries and it isn’t feasible. I would love to get more feedback from you regarding which units/labels you would like me to add. Please email me at info@horsebytes.ca, if you want to, for more discussion.
